Couple Of General (Fake) TGP Questions ...
I've been paying attention to my WP site for a few weeks now. Updating it, etc. Rather than use Google Analytics I've installed Matomo, an open source program. Not unexpectedly, I am getting just a trickle of traffic. Since I haven't done this for a few years, I am noticing two things which I wanted to know if it was true for others:
1. A LOT of traffic now is coming from mobile devices. Yeah, I know there are a lot more phones but I never imaged that a phone would be the device that people would choose to watch porn on. 2. Keywords now are almost never defined. I guess that is due to privacy policies. Thankfully, I can see what pages the users are looking at to see what sort of traffic is coming my way. Anyhow, thanks for insight you might have! |cheers| |
Some months we have 80% mobile traffic. Asia, Japan specifically, is mobile device oriented for example. New college grads entering the workforce often have to be trained how to use a desktop. I shit you not. Tablet use is on the rise as well.

The joke used to be that old people didn't know how to turn on their desktops. How the tables have turned!

But yeah, I think its smart to optimize for mobile. The company I am working for has made it a priority as so much of their traffic on home network is mobile. We're about to tackle the new tgpx you so wonderfully updated. Wish us luck. |
It wasn't me. All the credit goes to hincapie (hinc).

Oops. My bad. Thanks for that reminder.
