Wednesday, April 12 - HAPPY HUMP DAY!!
 

Whatever that is. Hey, when you work 7 days a week, when is hump day?? Our week here begins on Sunday.

We had the lightest little last kiss of snow last night. Just a scant dusting, but enough for a farewell kiss.

Sunny skies for the moment -- that will change very shortly. At least our rainy week has been canceled now and we are back to the normal cool partly cloudy things. Temps are nice in the mid 40s during the day and flirting with freezing at night. Good snuggle weather!

Back to the music and the porn....

Up and working early, had a good start to my day where one thing I've been working on has come through, yah! Worked planned all day then playing basketball tonight and watching hockey!

The Bitch just left to meet with our contractor at Home Depot to buy shit for fixing up the house. As soon as she gets home I need to go pick up the ASSIL & run him downtown. After that, I'm hoping for some funk-free work :)

Been a slow day. Nice weather, but it started to rain now in the evening.
I felt I needed to slow things down another day so I haven't done much today.
back in the saddle tomorrow.

Hump Day moves into Almost Home Thursday and a twice a month trip to Costco. I feel olive oil and strawberries.

Ya, well that did not last long.

It was about an hour after this post I found out my stepfather's mom passed away two days back. On my birthday no less. Got my mom flying in tomorrow as my stepfather had flown in with just enough time to say good bye. He didn't want to spoil my birthday with the news so waited. This brought me back to my father's passing and put me in a funk so taxes were put off once again.

It's now 8pm here and after doing a bunch of mindless grunt work I'm feeling a bit better. Hopefully I'll tackle the taxes tomorrow or maybe it will be Friday, Fuck IT!

Wow, JR. Great reason for a funk. I absolutely hate it when people decide you are going to react bad from news -- and withhold it. My mom still does it. She did it when my father died. I was the one trying to reach her about my little brother passing, or she would have kept that from me. I tell people - there is nothing that I can do to change the situation. I have to accept it as it is. People die - it's part of living. Everyone dies sometime. It's up to us to continue living....

So sorry... on all counts. With all of us in a funk, at least we tried to share that with you for your birthday...

My mother is like that too. She tried to hide my fathers cancer and also I know something is wrong with her, she just keep insisting she's well. I've given up

But to witheld a death message? That is a bit over the top.

When my father died (for other reasons later) his new ladys daughter told me, at the funeral, her kids liked my father so much she hadn't had the guts to tell them.
