I've dual booted with Linux and Windows for over 14 years now -- Linux 99% of the time -- but I've got other people in my life that use Windows 100%. If you don't know, Windows 11 is already here and Windows 10 ends in 4 years. Here's the thing. There's always a thing. Computers with CPUs four years or older won't run Windows 11. Not just, won't run well. MS stops you from running the OS if your CPU is not on its list (even if you meet disk, RAM and TPM 2.0 requirements)! I've got 2 Thinkpad laptops for family members made in 2018 (with 2017 CPUs) that run on a AMD, 4 core CPU at 2.7mhz that don't make the cut. I am certain they can run Windows 11.

Ten years of Windows 10. Seem to be running fine for most people. It's almost like they're in cahoots with computer manufacturers to churn product and sell more Windows licenses. Fuck Microsoft.

Dental cleaning this morning along with a Zoom at 3pm. That's it for me.

Oh year, glad the Dodgers won.

Fuck microsoft. Of course I only have 1 win10 machine that I purchased to do taxes and I won't change until my tax software won't run on it. That gives MS 4 years to fix all the issues win11 will definitely have!

Need to go outside and work on the house even though the neck is still hurting a little. Have a small get together of family welcoming my sons return this Saturday.

Besides that biz/tv/nap and Chinese food is on the agenda as well.

And yes, Microsoft, Apple, all the same. Release new products to drive sales and make it so you HAVE to buy the new product. Apple did it with their phones where the charging cord is different. Now when you buy a phone, which is north of $1000 easy, you don't even get a charger or headphones |huh And yes, I use both products exclusively :D
