i just caught the tail end of this on uk news, i still can't believe it.

a man and a woman have been sent to jail for what i think is the sickest thing anyone could do, they pretended for years that their child had cancer and was going to die, they shaved the childs head regular and drugged her so she believed it aswell,they scammmed loads of ppl out of thousands and gained sympathy from everywhere.The only reason they were caught is that the teacher noticed the hair kept growing back. The child was also heard saying to Santa Claus(sitting on his kneee etc) and all she wanted for christmas was not to die as she was afraid, How can you justify doing that the poor kid , I'm fuckin speechless ive said it before and i'll say it again we live in a sick fucked up world :(

I've seen this happen a few times here in the States as well. :(

it's a form of Munchausen Syndrome. One inflicts pain on themselves for attention.



more common is Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy where most common is parents inflict pain on their children in order to have attention to themselves.
