Broadcasting an audio/video chat

hi guys

i am looking for a good software for broadcasting audio and video chats using a regular DSL connection and a webcam, but broadcasting on the net via our server.

that means, that the bandwith that the members will use it will be the server's bandwith.

input highly appreciated, you can reach me via icq #132516819 or msn gabrio@teamperfecto.com aswell!

thanks and have a great day!

There was a bit of discussion on this a month or two back, with a few possibilities mentioned. You might try a search and see if you can find it. There was one relatively inexpensive package I thought had possibilities. Don't recall if it had audio.

Free open source server. Runs on Mac OS X Server, Linux (Red Hat 8 or higher recommended), Solaris 9, and Windows 2000/2003 Server.

I'm not sure if the part that broadcasts to the server runs on anything but a Mac.

ok thanks cleo, did you ever try it?

I've played around with the version that runs on Mac OS X. Very easy to setup, you are only limited in users to the speed at which your server is connected. There is a small client that you install on the local machine.

You can read more about it here.
