Old Chop just wants to let all you folks in Florida that you are on my mind. Sure hoping that all of you stay safe.

My son Bo, the one in the boat business, is down there salvaging boats from the last one for Boat USA. Called him this morning to tell him to get his young ass back up here in the woods. He says that the highways are already backed up with traffic.

It has turned more to the south from us, so I think we are going to ride it out since it no longer looks like a direct hit on us, but we are going to be ready to leave on a split second.

FUCK!!! It has turned more south. :(

They are getting into fist fights at the 7/11 by me in long gas lines, it's fucking crazy out in the streets.

Torn even if it does hit south of you the north side of the storm is far worse then the south side so it could hit down by me and you would have worse wind.

I'm still trying to decide if I need to put up my shutters which is a really nasty hard half day of work.

Torn - as Cleo said, if it is just south of you, you will get the worst winds. Also, you will get the largest storm surge, so don't get complacent.

Be careful you all..
I just called my step dad in west palm beach..told him to get his ass to a shelter..he said fuck no this is my house..so I called the sherriff's dept..he is alone cause mom is up here in rehab now..and he cant walk cause of arthritis, etc so he used one of those carts on wheels..anyway, they will check on him and call me back in an hour..
