Perl Module HELP!!
 

Arghh! I need to find someone that knows how to install and compile the perl GD Module ASAP!!

I'm guess for the AGP script.

My host did it for me. They did have to do it twice since there is something special about how it needs to be done for AGP.

Cleo, yes it is for AGP but my host can't do the install for me.
Hopefully somebody out there in webmasterland can help!!

They wil do it for you, but you will need root access to your server.

You may also want Imagemagick installed depending on your needs.

CLeo, Not sure what you mean by "They will do it for you"?
I've talked to my hosting provider and they cannot do it?
I have root access, I just need to find someone with the expertise needed to get the module installed...

I meant the makers of AGP JMBsoft. They will do it for you for a fee.

It's about time a few hosts added GD and ImageMagick as standard.... it is surprising how many do not..:(

I think it might be licensing issues. I've been downloading and installing a lot of the *nix stuff into my fruit to play around with and many packages only come with the URL to download the support files and the read me always says something about the fact that they aren't allowed to actually include the files due to licensing issues.

Open software is great other then you need to be like a squirrel fetching last year's supply of nuts when putting it together. :D
