I have seen those types in two cases:
1 - those surf discretely programs - they allow you to set a "from url" or they generate from a list. Maybe this is the new list of the month 2 - hackers looking for holes. They give you a refering url so it isn't blank. Check your 404s to see what they were looking for, like cgis and stuff. Alex |
The hackers part is what worries me. I'm not seeing anything but all I have access to is my webstats info so I think I'll email my host and have them take a look across the entire server.

We get loads of referrals from fake URLs, but generally it's people trying to force hack and get a free account. Check to see what pages those referrers are visiting they're probably /admin/ or /mysql/ or /system/ or whatever. Nothing to worry about as long as you're protected, we get thousands a month.
