Someone motivate me

This week has just sucked. Do you get burnt out sometimes? It seems like you work and work and then you've had enough. I think I need another vacation.

What do you do to force yourself to work? I know, I know.....everyone will say money is the major motivator. But my brain tells me "you make plenty, go lie down". |jester|

Someone be my personal coach!! |bananna|

Although I worked really hard lately I noticed terrible slowdown in my stats at the begging of this week and had same feeling.. I was even too lazy to make free site a day.. after I saw awesome increase in my sales I got my motivation back :)

Whenever I get unmotivated, I take an hour and shoot basketball, or play Madden and just forget all about work. Ive found that even with taking off an hour Im still more productive overall then if I try to work through it. So just take an hour or so and do something that relaxes you and gets your mind off what your doing. Also I tend to be more creative after these rests and thats always a good thing.

I just bought Stats Remote and turned on "Make a sound for every new sale".... enough motivation for me :)

I've found that having a project on the side where the main motivation isn't money and is just fun and interesting works well. Like putting together some pages for no other reason than to share something your interested in, and work on that for a day instead and it usually works to not feel so burned out. I have a couple sites now, that make a little $$$ but are definitely more fun than anything else.....

I desperately need a vacation. Current situation just won't allow that, so I have to keep plugging away and take my sanity where I can get it.

This week I've been on data entry detail. It is driving me bat-shit insane. So, yesterday, at 4:00 pm, I said wtf and left the office to go into the living room and watch a thrilling hour of "Inside Big Brother" on VH-1. Seriously inane tripe. And go figure, an hour later I went back to the office actually feeling refreshed. Maybe watching something even MORE mind-numbing than data entry helped - I dunno.

But - in all seriousness - I rarely take "breaks" (except to eat, and I use that time to read the boards). I will work until I'm completely brain dead, and often beyond. It was VERY unusual for me to just get up and take an hour off - to do "nothing" - in the middle of the day.

Maybe tomorrow I'll take an hour off and do crunches or something...or maybe that's pushing it...

(Actually, I really enjoyed the VH-1 show...but that's neither here nor there...)

I hear ya. I've been travelling a lot lately & can't seem to get back into the working groove. I'm fine once I get a routine going, but when you break that up by a week off 3 months in a row...seriously slow summer.

But the snow will be flying soon & I'll have nothing better to do than work. Is that good or bad? lol

That happens to me sometimes, building free sites in a row can be deadly. I usually play guitar, just sit an hour or two and play. No songs, just clicks and chords. Usually blues.

Sometimes I watch old TV series if they come from TV, like Matlock (that old southern boy always give me a good laugh), Star Trek, Miami Vice, Lovejoy etc. Or anything they show. It helps to get your brains back to zero and start working again.

Sometimes I just sit on my lazy boy recliner, shut my eyes, and listen music from my jukebox. I usually sleep an hour or two and after that work again.

This is hard work. I know many people think that is false, you just sit in your office and use computer, but you must think hard all the time, you can't just slap some shit together and upload it. Everybody get burned out sometimes. When that time comes, shut your computer and do whatever you like.
