Q re links

Hi there, just a couple more questions...

When a banner link appears blind ie. just a pic, if you put an alt tag on it with the url will that still be considered blind? I don't use many of them but it's a sponsor provided banner. I don't want to hide where the surfer is going but I don't want to change the banner.
Another idea would be to place text in with the link showing where it's going but some sponsors may not like that??

also...about mouseovers - is that a pretty harmless change that sponsors won't care too much about? I have seen some sponsors list rules about not changing the link code.

Thanks for your ideas!

A simple rule to live by is...

"If you have to ask if it's blind.... IT IS!"

Using text above and or below the banner... "could" make it appear less blind.. but you run the risk of being declined at some link lists.

If the sponsor doesnt like text next to their banner.. find a new sponsor!

Re: mouseovers.. Mouseovers(as long as the syntax is correct) do not change the "link" as such.. only how it appears in the browser..

So as long as its not deceptive, or just plain wrong.. using mouseovers is perfectly reasonable..

when submitting to link lists/TGPs just make sure that your mouseovers show http://www.NAMEOFTHESITE.com and not something else like CLICK HERE NOW and you shouldn't have a problem... some people put some really whacky stuff in their mouseovers :D
