MommaBig Giveaway Delay
 

Since Mommabig was included with the Hard Drive Crash of GreenguyandJim, we need more time to get it up to snuff. So, we have decided to push back the giveaway date to October 15, 2003. But, this is good news for many of you.

We are going thru the database & making sure things are up to snuff. Well, we're finding a lot of the amateur sites that we had links to are now dead

So, if you have your own amateur program OR know of one that I'm not yet promoting, please post the URL HERE (referral codes are more than welcome)

BTW - we could give it away now, as everything does work on it, but it's just a clusterfuck in there & we need a few days to get it ready & going at 100% - Jim & I agreed that giving away a headache would be a very bad idea.

We want it to be perfect when the winner gets it :D

The last time I won anything big was 25 years ago... I won a pair of hockey tickets. Then my dad sold them because we couldn't attend. Did I see the money? noooo....

Just wondering how you guys are going to do this now.

Is it going to just go to a random webmaster until someone claims it like the newsletter cash?

Or is it going to be something that goes to everyone and the readers have to participate somehow(like a question to answer or something else the reader would have to do to win)?

We will of course help the winner as much as we can as far as getting the admins set up & whatnot.

It comes with Link Admin from Useful Scripts & Richard has said that he will help re-set-up the admin if you have to move to a new host.

It also has Auto Gallery Pro & MrMaryLou knows that admin like the back of his hand :)

MrMaryLou & I will also give the winner a walk thru on the admins as well as help with any questions for the 1st few months.

There wll be a list of programs that are on the site, where you can sign up for them & whatyou have to search & replace to get your codes in there.

National Net is donating one month of free hosting, so that means all the scripts will work without any adjustments :)

You should probably opt out of 2 of those 3 emails that you receive - the board email list is not used for the newsletters or for the contests :)

Just Curiouse why giving away a site wich you build and putting all your energie in to make it the site which it is now ! I wouldnt dare to give if away or to sell it, i would be afraid that others will fuck it up. about 7 years ago we build a big house ourselfs (with the intention to sell it after 5 years) we did sell it for good money, last time we drove by the house.....it looked like shit......the people didnt care of it and all, the garden looked like if their was a bomb explode there and not talking about the outside of the house itself you would expect if people pay alot for a house they would take care of it! Well i know what went thru me when i saw that......quess you know what i mean!|lightsabe

Good point but if I win it I'll be taking very good care of it. It can be a cash cow if it's given some tlc.

The long & short of it is that we don't have time to run it, so why not give it away to one of the webmasters that help & support this board :)

Just wish I coulda gotten together with Jim back when he put it up for sale the last time....but stuff(medical) got in the way and now Im just hoping for one more chance :) dang - and the worst part is that there are so many deserving people here that would take such good care of it....I think we all would, but then just having the board and all the cool contests is fine medicine :)
