Working with movie content

Can anyone recommend good sources of instruction on converting, streaming, watermarking etc movie content? Basically I want to take content on DVD and be able to stream as well as convert it into downloadable mpeg/wmv which is watermarked.

I have messed around with all sorts of video editing software, and the one I recommend is Pinnacle Studio 9. It's cheap and easy to use.
