Anyone have an opinion on 2257 Register software?

I was looking at GenX Law's 2257 Register software and it looks pretty nifty. Has anyone tried it/used it? Would you recommend it? Is it as beneficial as it seems to be?

Here's their website if you have no idea what I'm talking about. It's software for keeping good, legal track of your 2257 info.

Not only will some software NOT save you if the authorities come-a-knocking...

.. why would you even contemplate "buying" some crap software on a site where half the pages dont even bloody work..

IMO - This board needs less 2257 threads!

You wouldn't think that if you lived in the U.S.! |jester|

~kinda puzzled~

Why would you buy something like this? I've got something very, very similiar to it that I built in Access. Thankfully, I am a detail freak, and when I started out, I had no idea what information I might need later, so I built a pretty comprehensive db. I don't do the thumbnail thing, but I can tell you right away who the content provider for what model is, where I have that model info filed, what models are in which gallery, etc.

Now, keep in mind I am not saying that what I have meets the 2257 requirements, whatever they may end up being. I am saying that I've got pretty close to what that link shows, and it cost me nothing but time, and I can customize it further anytime I need to.

~finally clicks the "Buy" button~

$120!!!! Get outta here! Nothing like captializing on uncertainty, is there? ;)

Because I think they have several db's of content providers already in their db. I have all my records and licenses but with over a million pictures I'd have to enter, this would save time if they're already mostly in there.

Isnt it a bit premature?

I've also built a DB in access that does the job. I might develop a commercial version depending on how all this shakes loose, but if I do I'm not going to rape people on it. More like $40.
