Method to your build/submit madness?

Hi. :) I'm trying to get better at the whole build, submit, build, submit free sites game, but as I go, I'm just sort of jumping around. Sponsor content mature site, bought content smoking site, sponsor content amateur. . . etc etc. I've tried making a few plans, but haven't yet followed through.

For the moment, the plan is to do 3 sponsor-content free sites per sponsor, and work my way down my list of the approx 15 sponsors I'm currently with. I'll try to keep them within the same 6-7 niches, so I can fill up my hub a little faster. Maybe try to work in a VNWR triple with a few.

However, as I was trying to pin down a plan re: what to build next, I became curious...

What's your plan of attack when it comes to choosing which free sites to build next?

Is it whatever strikes your fancy? Do you regroup each week, or do you have some sort of system?

Discuss... :)

Howdy Ek!

Well I like to promote a site for about 3 weeks to see how it converts for me first. If something sells well, I continue to push it. I find it easy to create templates that are light and simple to edit. All I have to do is change the text, banner and affiliate codes, batch out some images and it's done.
Good luck :)

My game plan has always been the same as you have stated above:

Build, submit, build, submit, build submit.....

Over the years, I've found different ways to do things to make the process go faster.

I was actually writing what will turn out to be a small book on building free sites on my way down to Miami in August, but the beer that found it way onto my keyboard has put that project on hold :D

What we need is the book! Then we could afford to get you a spill proof mug full of Skyy Citrus.

Are you taking advance orders for the book? |greenguy|

I have no method. I get distracted sooo easily & find it hard to stick to the daily grind of building & submitting. I do much better when I sit down & build a bunch of new sites on one day & then submit all week.

Right now I'm trying to work on finishing a good hub so that when I submit I feel like I'm working towards a bigger goal. Hopefully that will be more motivating. Either that or I'll get a bigger mortgage that will force me to work! lol

Same here, KCat, on the distraction thing. I can do build/submit 6 days a week for about two months, then I crash and burn HARD and have to wander off and amuse myself with something else for a while. To answer the inevitable "How's that working out for you?" Um, not so well.

I keep trying to build up a nice stash of free sites so that even if I'm not creatively motivated to build, I can at least go through the boring but simple routine of submitting. I think my stash is up to about six at this point. |sad|

Fortunately the side projects are starting to pay off, slowly but surely...but nothing beats that influx of traffic and sales a good free site can bring. At least, not yet. ;)

2 months, eh? I think I've got a 7 Week Itch. It's a good thing free sites are so forgiving because I just can't stay loyal. ;)

I do a different niche each day. No particular order. So for example today I made a couple hardcore, the day before a celeb, the day before that a lesbian, before that a hidden cam/voyeur...I like a variety as do most of the places I submit to. |bananna|

Yep same here.. try to do a different niche every day.. over the 5 or 6 we cover.. then repeat. that doesn't always work cuz sometimes either Tart or I get inspired and we have to do it RIGHT then (Empire stokes black is a good example) ...

but the build submit build is working pretty well..

Cleo 2004-10-02 09:09 AM

I fart html code

eksites 2004-10-02 12:47 PM

LOL I know what you mean, Cleo. Sometimes I zone out when reading something at work, and find myself thinking about how I would have to code it... this TD valign=left, that one centered....

Though I'm trying to get better at CSS. Tables are still the thing for me.

So no one here has, like, a month in advance plan that they manage to follow... that's discouraging. For me, if I leave it up to "whatever I want next" it ends up being a week before I make a new one...

And gathering recips... yeesh. annoying. necessary, but annoying. Which is why, I guess, staying in the same niches may be easier.
