hey peeps, I was wondering if there's a market for freehosted freesites?

Do linklists actually list those and do people make private deals with exclusive hosted freesites?

I really like it when they are provided in a pipe delimited file with title, description, url so that I just import them into my database.

Yup, I LOVE hosted free sites...especially when the templates are not used to death. Many sponsors seem to think changing a couple colors makes a new template.

Just like TGPs there are a lot of Link Lists with a lot of traffic. Good SE traffic and so on so Hosted Free Sites are always a good idea. And they will get listed.

There is a company that hangs around here that makes them for sponsor too. Mention and I'm sure they'll PM or email you some info.

Yeah I know, there are to few sponsors with hosted freesites, as a matter of fact the only ones I know about is Occash (from jay) and Extreme Paychecks...I would love to see more sponsors make hosted freesites (Heeelloo topbucks, pimproll, soulcash and apc! :D)

how often would you guys like to see new ones? every day a new one?

Do a search on this board for a few threads that have a list of sponsors who have them. There are more then you think. :)

Mefo - I wouldn't go too overboard with the Hosted Free Sites - at most, put out 7 per week for each site that you have to promote. That way, if they want to, the Link List owners can list one new one each day :)

Before you rush off and make free sites understand what a free site is! please! They arent just an index, main page and two galleries. The site has to have a name, a theme, if you're going to put out 7 free sites a week, then make sure you atleast have 7 different templates.. preferably 30.. one for each day of the month. Also, it would be greatly appreciate if you could include titles for the sites generally 2-5 words. The titles should have the first letter of each word capitlized. Secondly, there should be descriptions, generally one or two sentences that describes the site. The first word in each sentence of the description should be capitilized.

If you make a bunch of free sites following these guide lines and post them here on GG&J and maybe advertise a little here as well, I can almost guarantee that they would be used by alot of the major LL's as well as the smaller ones.

Agree on everything that's been said above. Releasing one or two a day does me no good - give me a flat file with titles and descriptions; maybe 7 new sites a week. Free hosted free sites has become a real selling point for me when it comes to new sponsors.

Good to hear...I know that there are LOTS of folks around here who would sign up with a program to get good FH sites. Most of the sponsors that have them don't really do them right or create new ones very often, so someone who does would get quite a bit of attention from me |rasta|

Soulcash does have downloadable free site templates and hg's that you can link to them from your main page.

2 problems with that:

1 - Link Lists owners hate seeing the same templates over & over & thus, the submitters will eventually get blacklisted

2 - Most link lists do not allow you to have anything on a different domain & none that I know of allow you to link to a sponsors hosted galleries as the galleries on their free sites

Nina, as far as the 'For The Girls' free hosted sites are concerned, they are not offered to affiliates for submission to link sites, the idea is for link list owners to add them to their own lists.

I believe most hosted free sites offered by sponsor programs would fall into the same category.
