GG, Tommy, Cleo, etc - HELP!!
 

Hi Everyone,

It certainly was a crazy day...

First of all, hello to everyone!

I've had food poisoning since Thursday and only today have I had the strength to come to my pc.

As you all may know, I am a |newbie|!

Here's my dilemna:

I just checked my stats and my traffic had been growing steadily all month, that is until today - (10-24-04) when it mysteriously dropped by a whopping 60%. |sad|

Now, I had been having server problems lately - I posted about this last week.

But, can anyone of the experienced webmasters/webmistresses explain to me why I would go from 5307 visitors to my sites on 10-23-04 to 2152 visitors for 10-24-04??

I really need to know...my webalyzer stats tonight almost gave me a heart attack!

Cross your fingers. Maybe it was just a webalizer hiccup. That wouldn't be odd.

As long as it's not a trend don't spend too much energy on it. Like a brick and mortar business, once in a while you'll have a really slow day. If it continues, THEN worry.|rasta|

Yup makes sense...intead of looking at naked ladies Greenie spent Sunday looking at big bruising studs wearing costumes and masks grappling each other while rolling around on the ground with their massive bodies pressed closly together!

I've spent the last month tearing out walls and doing all the not so fun stuff involving remolding one's home which means that I haven't built and submitted anything in much at all for the last month so my traffic is off from what it usually is but it is still doing well and sign ups have been decent so I'm not too worried and I take comfort that as soon as I get back into the build and submit groove traffic will be back up again for me.

Either that or I can just spend a lot of time writing really long sentences…

I was not complaining about the sign-ups - they are still coming.
But, if you have such a steep drop in traffic, eventually, it will reflect in the bottom line. Won't it?

And, yeah, that was a really LONG sentence. Your high school grammar teacher would freak.... :)
