getting accurate stats on a free site
 

Using the client ip from the server log is not an accurate method of measuring the number of visitors because some ISPs like aol can change the ip while a page is loading (network load balancing).

The only solution I am aware of is to force the user to login and then use the username in the server log to determine the number of unique visitors.

Does anyone know of another solution?
