In the US, it is the start of the Christmas season. I often wondered what was the start of the season for other countries.

Anyway...Happy Thankgiving to Everyone :D

Happy Thanksgiving, turkey-eaters! I think it's an excellent tradition. Unfortunately we don't do it in the UK, nor have anything similar. Christmas seems to begin as soon as my April puts up the Christmas decorations. :)

Work as usual for me today. Sales are strong. I love U.S holidays!

Good morning from South Florida. :)

I would be still sleeping but I'm too sore to stay in bed.

I have a stove again so I thought to make some good espresso but I can't find my espresso maker. |banghead|

I going to stop by and visit friends today but mostly I'm just going to do more work around the house to get ready for the kitchen cabinet installer who will be here in about 24 hours.

Happy Thanksgiving my north american friends.

Here we have a guy called St Nicolas coming with presents for the kids on December 6. Kind of our version of Santa Claus I think, he also has a white beard and red clothes and kids really believe he climbs down the chimney at night. :)
He always has his black helpers with him. Here's a pic of St. Nicolas

After that our Christmas season starts...

The pumpkin & pecan pies are almost ready. Then, before the turkey goes in, the corn puddin' & sweet potato souffle gets baked.

I LOVED that tradition. When I was living in Germany we would put our shoes outside on Dec 6th for St. Nick, if you were bad you were given a lump of coal or sticks & if you were good you were given presents. |santa|

Turkey - tastes like turkey - not chicken.

Deep frying a turkey today. Hope it turns out! Injected it with cajun spices last night. Doing it outside like they recommend.

8 inches of snow here and starting to melt now. When it falls off the roof, it sounds like Santa just landed.
