Anyone want to give this newbie a TGP partner account?
Got the site Paul Markham Teens up and running, getting a bit of traffic but not enough and have two people submitting galleries 9 - 5 Monday to Friday and might have another one soon on board.
But what we would like is partner accounts. We will have new clean galleries every day, under used or exclusive content, good content, movie and picture galleries and will be specialising in teens/girl next door type stuff. So hit me up if you would like another partner. |
:)
just sent your partner account info to
webmaster | @ | paulmarkham . com no recip required for you ;) i set you up with max 10 galleries per day (preferrably not all in the same category) let me know if your webmasters need anything special or if they have any problems submitting or anything :) thanks, rl Russell Lang (aka hermit) |

Uh-Oh - content guys running their own paysite (that's not that new: 1-by-day was first I think) and submitting galleries with their content?!?
Where does that leave the poor costumer hoping to get some 'life' out of their hard-earned $ spent on content? Just another way to saturate the market? Don't get me wrong, Paul: I don't mind you trying to make a buck (or two) for yourself, just don't think I'll be coming back to spend more money... |santa| |peace| |santa

does your paysite have an affiliate program? do you have free hosted galleries?
thanks, rl |

Firstly we will be submitting the content from www.paulmarkham.com sets that sell for #5 - $50 10 to 20 times in their entire life. Most webmasters buy from wwwbargainbasementcontent.com sets priced at $5 and sell 100+ times, so it seems saturation is not the most important thing. Secondly the paysites and webmasters (mostly the elite submitters) who do buy this content on a regular basis have all been informed of our plans to open a paysite, support us and even want to partner with us. Thirdly over the last year the content market, for those who have not been watching has gone down the tubes. How long am I meant to sit back and watch it deteriorate without changing course? Fourthly as you can see from Hermit this is the way the market has gone. So I sell a set to one customer and he gives it to 1,000 webmasters. Seems saturation is not an issue. Yes Hermit we will have FHGs for certain webmasters. What we will not do is make them freely available to 1,000 people to submit to the same sites. They will go to those who can deliver sign ups. George if you are one of the clients who spend over $1,000 a year with us I appolagise to you. But if you are not. This business is young and changing. What really motivated us to move into the paysite market is when we see payite owners and customers coming here to shoot, can't shoot as well as us and being able to outspend us hands down on shoots. Seems the money is not in the production end anymore. |

I know a lot of content producers & providers that build for themselves & their companies - no big deal to me. |
First: I've only looked twice at Paul's Bargain Basement; both times I thought: "I've seen this set, I know that set, not interested..."
Second: this year I had a long(-ish) break, my income suffered from that and the falling US$, so I haven't spent much on content at all. Third: I know content providers are having a hard time, you can notice it everywhere from the discounts and regular 'blow-outs' they're offering. I picked up some decent crumbs from 219Content, when they shut down, and stretched it through the year... And I know: these sales hurt the regular guys even more! Hence: I said "I don't mind you trying to make a buck" - I only stated the obvious, that I will think twice where to spend the little I can, specially since I have a few sets from other sources which are over 2 years old and still relatively 'fresh'... In closing: I have no problem with Paul venturing into paysite business, just think that it's competing with the content sales! And the two don't have to compete as much if he would maybe cut the content sets back to fewer pictures (quantities most gallery builders need: 20-30 pics), make them a little cheaper, and reserve the remaining shots as exclusive paysite content... Just an idea |peace

As far as over exposed content goes, I've built several free sites with bargain basement content and never had a problem. Reviewers don't see purchased clearance content anywhere near as much as they see sponsor stuff. |

actually, i wanted to know if you had an affiliate program because i have quite a bit of your content, i like your site, and id like to promote it using my own content and galleries that i build and submit.
and i wanted to know if you were going to have free hosted galleires so that i could use MY affiliate code (if you have an affiliate program) and post the free hosted galleries on MY tgp. so... 1.) are you going to have an affiliate program that I can sign up with? 2.) are you going to have free hosted galleries that I can use on MY tgp? thanks, rl |

As for Bargain Basement Content as opposed to sponsor content well even a set that sells out at $5 and is sold 100 times will get less exposure than a free set from a sponsor. there is also the time factor, sponsor content is picked up as soon as it's released and then submitted. Bought content is sold over a period of years, the chances of a reviewer seeing and remebering he saw that set that week are slim. But some people are still convinced if they get everything for free they will make money. |
