How to choose link lists

Hey guys,

Here's the thing. I'm going for less link list submissions, more free sites. My question here's should I select the LL that respons quickly or the LL that send more traffic, no matter the fact that I'll get listed in 3-4 weeks?

After all if I submit 1 site every day to each of these LL that take more to review my sites, after 3-4 weeks of submissions I will be receiving an approve/reject email every day ;)

Just wondering what should I target. Anyway I have a good selection of LLs. Just wondering about your opinion.

ClickBuster you could try going to google and searching for the niche of the free site your submitting that day and use the link list that on the top so you get the most targeted traffic.

As for link list that take a long time to accept I wouldnt use that against them. Those people usally have a high amount of submits per day so they take a little longer but thats just because there traffic is worth it.

If I were you I wouldn't get caught up in waiting to see who accepts me because that could take days and thats time you could have used to build more free sites. You should build, submit, and forget. Let your traffic show in your sponsor stats instead of on a counter because thats all that really counts.

Good Luck

Like JoeBlack said, build, submit and forget, but keep an eye on your stats; not everybody will send approval/rejection emails. I would give any LL at least a 4-week run before even considering dropping them. I dropped one particular LL after 4 weeks and no hits. 2 months later I'm suddenly getting 1000+/day. I guess I'll be putting them back on my submit list. :)

Nice advice JoeBlack, one question I have, being a SE newbie, is what do I type into google or yahoo to bring back just a list of LL's (and not TGPs, gallery pages, etc)?

JoeBlack 2004-12-23 01:45 AM

Halfdeck there is no such filter to do what your asking. You will just have to search each link and find out if they are a link list or not.

Also who says that you have to stop at free sites. Use those niche tgps as well and get your galleries listed at the tgps. Then direct them to either your sponsor, full page ad, or your free site. Its up to you but its still targeted traffic.

You will often find a list of other link lists to sumbit to on the submit page of many link lists. Thats' how I do/did it.

building and forgetting is what i do when i build my freesites...

when i make a freesite i want to make sure that i'll get everything out of it, so i submit it to every single list that i can..

some people submit to just the ones that send the most traffic, but thats really a personal choice.

Thanks for some good ideas JoeBlack. I can really see the TGP's coming into play too with your approach.

The way I usually collect LL's is just like UWarrior said, through the LL thankyou pages. Looking at my stats though I see that the list of LL's sending me the highest traffic for my recent amateur/teen free sites matches almost line by line with the top SE results for those niches...which makes sense. So ideally, I guess I'd need different recip tables for each niche |dizzy|

FTS I agree, eventuall I would *like* to submit to as many LL's out there as possible (some LL's may send you less traffic but give you more sales), but when I have a limited amount of time the question for me becomes, who do I submit to first?

After reading your question about a filter to use on the search engines to find the most relevant link sites, I did a little experimentation. I get the best results using a search like these at Google:

"lesbian links" +adult

"anal links" +adult

or just a more generic "adult links" if you submit in a variety of niches.

Those searches seem to bring up mostly lists of link lists that take submissions from webmasters.
