Thailand Tsunami - Would you like to help?

Here is the latest on my plans to help the victims of the recent Tsunami that hit southern Thailand. In a few hours I leave for the effected areas down south, I have secured a vehicle and found places to purchase needed supplies. I will be going with a Thai friend, her name is Som (means "Oranges"..Thai's always have nice names). We will be purchasing water, food, simple medicine and basic clothes to hand out to people that have nothing.

If anyone wishes me to buy something on their behalf and hand it out, the process is very simple. Just email Dan@CamZ.com and let him know how much you want to pledge. I will be checking in with him very regularly via phone and purchasing more supplies as he tells me pledges have been made. There is no big corporate machine that will eat up most of your donation, if you tell Dan you want to give $100 - then I will buy $100 worth of supplies on your behalf, right there and then, simple as that.

I am well aware that this will only make a miniscule dent in the overall situation, but at least it is something. And when it comes down to the faces on the few people we can help, I know it will be well worth this small effort. Please do not email me as I will be out of contact for a little while but instead email Dan@CamZ.com with any questions and donations, and remember it does not matter if you want to offer $50 or $5000, what ever you wish to give will be a fantastic gift.

This is a time of year when most of the world is enjoying time with their families and kids are playing with all the gifts they received. As of right now 70,000 men, women and children do not have that luxury anymore.

Thank you.

Thank you GG and to everyone that has sent money.

Robb is heading down there tonight and is going to be hiring a couple trucks and get the supplies over to the island.

I am sure he will make good use of the money sent.

The kindness and generosity of this community is amazing.

I have also asked him to take plenty of pictures so we can all see the things we have contributed to directly effect the people.

Thanks again.

Just to update everyone. Robb has his first van load full of supplies and is going to be handing them out within the hour. He said he is taking tons of pics and will have that and tell everyone of the experience asap.

He send his best and thanks for all of the support..

Personally he sounds great. He has not seen much devastation yet so his spirits are still very high. I am sure it is going to be ruff when he gets there and actually sees the effects and the death that has surrounded this area.

on the plane there was many rescue workers from all over the world. SO it was filled with entertainers and rescue workers and one porn producer from America :)

Thanks again for all that you have done. It is going to good use.

Just wanted to update everyone. I have been in contact with Robb just a short time ago. His first full day there was a good success and he has made a few trips to and from. The disaster is terrible and the need is great. The area that he was at the first day already had a lot of aid reaching it he was able to get a couple loads to people in need. Including med kits, water, toiletries, sheets, teddy bears, and clothes. anything that he has been told is needed. . He was told about some small towns North from where he was and reloaded and is now driving to that area to try and reach the most in need.

He is still very up beat and is doing great. He is very excited about the response to his trip. The amount coming in is allowing him to stay longer. It looks like he is spending around $1500 a day there. We have already collected enough to keep him going for a few days. He is very thankful that he is able to do this.

He mentioned that he has run into many westerners that were there on vacation and have decided to spend what they had left from their vacation money to help the people. Very cool I think.

He wanted to make sure I again thank everyone that has sent donations and well wishes and for allowing him the opportunity to help the people that he has grown to love over the last year he has lived there.

Thanks again.

Regards

Dan

Hi Dan,

As I said in the mail, it's very honorable what he's doing. I wish I would be there with him.
Unfortunately I didn't manage to get the $2k for the ticket down there in less than 2 hours. But I haven't given up yet. I might go down there in a later stage and help with rebuilding instead.

I'm getting on a bus up to Stockholm 10:10 PM tonight, so no new years party for me, to assist the Sri Lankan empbassy. They have been getting lots and lots of aid supplies that needs to be sorted before shipped to the affected areas. So I'll be there until the 3rd.

My best to Robb, you and everyone there.

Hi Everyone. I am getting ready to take off for Vegas but wanted to update everyone on Robb's efforts and once again thank all of you for your support of the people of Thailand. He got North where there was a real lack of aid. Is some places he went he and Som were the first relief they had received. Again the people of Thailand continue to impress Robb. Even though a lot of these people had nothing they formed an orderly line and only took what they needed. They did not hoard the supplies handed out. He was very impressed.

It was also very sad. Many places the bodies were stacked and not being buried. The devastation at the one resort area was incredible. There was next to nothing left standing.

He has used most of what was pledged. He is heading home tomorrow and if there is anything left from the donations he is going to put it either to the red cross or more then likely into the collection center in Bangkok

He is going to make up a few galleries and a little about each area he visited so we can see what the money did that should take him a few days.

I will not have any more updates as I am leaving for Vegas but I will send the spread sheet to Robb with all of the donation info and I am sure he will be e-mailing all of you when he gets back.

Thanks again and From all of us at CamZ we wish you a Happy New Year!!

Hi Dan,

Just wanted to know who I had to talk to to make a donation for the tsunami relief effort.

Hi Green Guy,

Great work. Everything - anything - will help

You said:

"This is a time of year when most of the world is enjoying time with their families and kids are playing with all the gifts they received. As of right now 70,000 men, women and children do not have that luxury anymore"

The latest figure (from the BBC - January 7th) is estimated, across the whole affected region, at more than 1.2 million without proper sanitation, shelter, medicine and enough food

How shocking has it got to get before people will help? Thankfully the UK public has donated over £115 million (c. US$200m), and I'm sure everywhere else is doing the same

Bless you and your efforts, and all those WMs who have given |smooch|

Don't give me or Jim any credit for this - it's all Dan & Robb from CamZ.

We're just trying to help :)

As we have done in the past, the adult online community is coming together to help those who desperately need help. http://www.tsunamicharityauction.com/ has been created to help the victims of the tsunami disaster and they need our help.

The auction will be broadcast live January 24th at 3 p.m. EST / 12:00 p.m. PT on YNOT Radio Network. You can help in a number of ways. You can donate traffic, graphics work, programming work, content, anything that has a value in the industry. Help can also be offered by bidding on one or many of the items being offered.

If you can not participate in the auction but still want to help, you can send donations to the American Red Cross address listed on http://www.tsunamicharityauction.com/. As a sponsor of the event, we hope that you can help support the cause.

Thank you for your support,
CE Cash
