Best Bulletin Board Software
 

Hi,

I'm posting this in the general forum as I am interested in user opinons, not vendor. What in your opinion is the best bulletin board software in terms of both features and security? This bulletin board is for a website of a local youth group so security and the ability to control who has access is a factor. All opinions appreciated.

I agree there is a large vBulletin community out there as well at vbulletin.org. I have done some extensive vBulletin mods myself for clients and it is great to work with, easy to use and expandable to fit just about any need you can imagine.

Can you configure the program so that only the admin can create user accounts?

In the Admin panel you can set it up so that all new members must be approved by the Super Administrator (and/or moderators I think).

Yes you can moderate all accts, posts etc.
