I'm being linked to from a SE spam site
So, is it worth my time trying to get my site(s) removed from this SE spam page:
http://my-friend-hot-mom-mrs-wild.ho...ld/P01L01.html What sort of problems can I expect being linked to from these sites? I get traffic from them, but I'm sure it's shit traffic. I didn't ask to be linked from them either. Suggestions? |
I've had the same thing happen to me. It's a pretty tough spot to be in, but I wouldn't lose sleep until you see tens-of-thousands of spam links...then you run the risk of being banned.
I had like 10000+ spam links to my site once and I didn't know what to do, but I noticed all of his CECash codes went to the same account. I called CECash, they looked up the spammer, threatened to pull his account without payment if he didn't stop, and next thing I knew all of the bad links were gone. That is one way of going about it. Hope that helps. |
I don't think any incoming links can hurt your site.
You can get in trouble ONLY if you link back. |

For example, take their url and spam thousands of blogs/questbooks with it ? I think this is the reason google still doesn't penalize sites that have these kind of linkbacks to them. |
It depends on how they link to you - right now Google has a problem with some of the ways people can link to you that will cause you to be the one they give the dupe ban to - if you need proof that it can be done to a competitor I can show you a fine example :)
It can also be dealt with through Google but it does take some time to start to get back your own listings that were removed because of this type of linking |

No question about it. |
