FlashFXP question
Does anyone use this program for ftp?
I have a ton of sites in there and I'd like to copy the login info for all over to another computer. Does anyone know how to export sites? Of course, it shows you right up front how to IMPORT them, but that doesn't help. lol Thanks! |
Shannon,
I don't know that program... but... What I would do is.. Open and use FlashFXP Then close it Go look in the FlashFXP home directory.. c:/ProgramFiles/etc/etc/ - and find the last files that were written to.... They will most likely be the config/setup files. Copy them to a safe place and then copy them into the home directoy on the new machine.. May not work.. but it should.. :D DD |
You want to make a copy of your sites.dat and bring that to the other system. Take a copy of the FlashFXP.ini too. They're both in you main FlashFXP directory in your program files. That should be it.
BTW - doing what DD said will lead you directly to the the sites.dat file. The FlashFXP.ini is just settings. If you like the way the program runs for you one machine, you can just overwrite it on the new machine and achieve the same settings without all the dicking around. If you are running two different operating systems, just leave the ini file alone. Could be problematic. |
Usually all that info is held in a dat file.
You can copy the dat file to another dir and then import it or just copy and overwrite the smaller one I just downloaded and insalled it and the file you want is Sites.dat haha I would say what UW said haha or did I haha |
Thanks so much you guys! |smooch|
