A weird thing happened last night

Not for the faint of heart
I have had a lump just below my ass for about 10 years. It has been there so long that I no longer worried about it because it didn't change. So last night, laying in bed, I touched it. I noticed it was a little wet and pushed a little harder. I smelled the worst smell of my life. And when I looked at my hand, without exaggeration, I had a handful of puss. And DAMN...it smelled bad like rot. So, I kept squeezing and sure enough, I no longer have the lump :) About 2 tablespoons of puss came out.

So, is it possible to have a zit that lasts for 10 years? My wife says it was probably a boil but, it seemed like a giant zit to me :)

You know it is breakfast time for many of us this time of day.

Some things are best kept to yourself.

Jim 2005-01-20 09:30 AM

I've been telling everyone :)
And, I did give you a warning.

Some scientists reckon that our brain-power is drawn from our entire body.

Don't be surprised if you start suffering short term memory loss, or something similar.

Consider yourself lucky Jim,that thing could cause pain beyond anything you have ever felt.I know I've had 2 of them .
its actually called a Perianal Abscess, and mine usually took 7 days before I could go to get it drained or it wouuld burst itself.
You sneeze it hurts you laugh it hurts you move it hurts you could get your ass kicked by a 5yr old and not a damn thing you could do.I never gave birth but I bet its up there pain wise.
Two spoonfuls thats a lil one try a pint and having something the size of a baseball between your cheeks .Now if your lucky thats about it for ya trust me though if you start to feel pain down there go to the doctor painkillers and antibiotics.
Oh did I mention it really hurts when ya pee well the stopping part that is.here's alil info

I remember my father getting one of these. He died a few months later.

Porn Meister 2005-01-20 10:45 AM

Ouch.. You should go fetch some penicillin or something and make sure nothing else can come of it.

Jim 2005-01-20 10:46 AM

It wasn't there and not nealy as nasty. :)

AcidMaX 2005-01-20 10:55 AM

If they get too bad, you have to get them packed with gauze. When I was a medic we used to get people with these in the ER all the time and we would have to take this long stringy gause and a sterile swab and pack the wound. They would have to come in for a few days until it is healed, everyday to get new dressings. This was some of the nastiest shit I have ever had to do in my life. Give me a gunshot wound over this nasty crap. As soon as I got rank in the ER I pawned those off to all the new guys/gals that came to the ER. Just down right nasty.

You really should get it looked at though and get on some antibiotics.

ngb1959 2005-01-20 04:09 PM

Linkster:

I have one of those ganglia cysts on my left wrist too.

I had one a long time ago, never did anything to it and it just went away.

That's what I'm doing with this one and it has gone down about 1/2 the size in about 2 months.

I had one of those on my wrist when I was a kid. The doctor took a book and slammed my wrist with it.

I guess they do things different out in the country.
