Sirius and XM Merger?

While talks have not advanced far, executives from both sides have been meeting lately to discuss the possibility of a merger, according to several sources close to the matter.

I realllllly doubt this will happen for a few reasons. However, I never thought Oracle and Peoplesoft would come to an agreement either.

What they need to do is have a company like Hughes create a network platform, and then sell time on that to other companies.

Let the company that specializes at managing satellites do what they do best, let the radio guys do what they do best.

Of course, I think Hughes just lost one of their birds over the Southern Pacific... maybe that's not such a good idea.

I've heard a lot of rumors that XM's gonna buy out Sirius, seeing as Sirius is in really deep financial trouble.

Also, I know enough to take things I read in the NY Post with a grain of salt :D

I read the same thing yesterday morning then a few hours later that article popped up (at fark.com) discrediting the rumor. I noticed still some news outlets were reporting the rumor.

Thats crazy.
