Website Promotion/SE Services?

Does anyone have any site promotion services or companies that give you good SE results, that they particularly recommend?

Also, any that you do NOT recommend too? :chainsaw:

I haven't tried any in about 2 or 3 years, but even back then, the money I paid didn't produce results that were worth doing it again.

What I do now is read the board, ask others what they do, work my sites/pages at least 2 times a month & see what works :)

Hi Latinafind,

I could recommend www.thedotstudio.com (but then I am slightly biased) :) You can get site optimisation and submission to 400 search engines once or every month over 12 months.

However......taking GGs advice will save you money and always works very well.

Thanks Greenguy.

I will post again here when I find out the results of a promotion I have paid a company to do for one of my sites, so others can benefit from it (or avoid it).

I'll check that site out too, thanks Kristian

I agree with GG on this one...

based on simple logic... If the SEO company could do what they say.. they would be #1 for evey search term and they wouldnt need to "sell" to you... ;)

There is plenty of info at the SE's themsleves about how to get listed and listed well, and simply asking a valid question on a decent WM board :adore: can get you lots of information...

DDave....would you agree that there are dangers with using those services as well if they happen to submit to say the top 8 SEs and the other 392 sites they submit you to are FFA's? Just wondering as I have always tried to avoid those and learn on my own like you suggest.

DangerDave 2003-04-04 07:35 PM

I would definitely agree with that Linkster...

Most that I have seen actually have elaborate link farms as well, which are mostly not relevant, and could easily be "caught" by Google.

In fact one VERY LARGE adult sponsor is doing this at the moment and I am waiting for the negative outcome to occur.

Dito on what Linkster and DangerDave said.

Like GreenGuy said, learn and network on the boards. :)

Great SE discussion.
I surely agree with everything that I have seen.

It was also occuring to me to that many of us know that what one might do to get a good Google list might kill you in Altavista or other SE's.

I think webmasters should remember that in order to get good at search engines you should target each search engine seperately.

A Google site would sure be a totally different setup than a site for some other SE's just because of the way things are being indexed.

I have also researched some of these submit services before just to find that many of the SE's that they submit to don't even take adult related sites. LOL

As has ben said there's nothing better than learning on your own and best of all good experimenting and trial and error. :D
