Hello all, I am considering using a hit tracker. I have gone to a couple different site trying to decide which one to use. I am still undecided. If anyone has an opion on the matter i would appreciate your comments.

I stopped using 'em in favour of server stats. But I used to find that Hitbox was good.

Although it's been a while since I used one.

Server stats are you best bet these days lots of nasty stuff coming from the counters these days :)

Speaking of which..... anyone using Urchin server stats out there?

Just wondering what you think of them against something like Webalizer.?

My old favourite was MK Stats :D

Server stats are obviously the best to work with, but if anyone is considering using Hitbox, keep in mind that they are doing away with their free counters as of early January and to get their service after that it is $29.95 or $39.95 a mo. I don't remember right now. For free it was a good service, would I pay for it, NOPE!

Im using an old version of it on my servers - gives me the overall info I need - if I need more info I just D/L the logs and run them through a generic awstats or something - the reports in Urchin are nice especially the file output options :)

Urchin is good.. but it's a fricking monster till you get it under control...

I cannot fathom why someone hasnt "re-written" MKStats.... How many of us would pay top dollar for it! ? I would ! It was the shit..:)

I'm using Urchin Enterprise 3.4 which I think is pretty good.

MKStats was pretty cool. Maybe someone should dig up a copy and bring it up to date.
