The Military Is On To Me

I give Tijuana-Tonight memberships away to Servicemen and I was giving Tijuana-Whores memberships away before Tijuana-Tonight.
( it's my way of saying thank you and I'm sorry Bush cares so little about their lives )
Some of the boys use their military E-mails ( @nimitz.navy.mil @mrr.usmc.mil )
Now all of a sudden all my e-mails with a ,mil are bouncing.
This happened to me with Tijuana-whores last year and I thought it was because they didn't like the word whores

I'm not going to stop giving memberships away so I figure I can:
A, use different E-mail addresses for .mil
B, put in the rules that .mil E-mail addresses are not allowed

can anyone think of any options I might have? |dizzy|

Any workaround would depend on determining what is causing the mail to get bounced - IP address of your Mail Transfer Agent, the domain name sent during negotation between your MTA and the remote server, the e-mail address used in the From: field, the content of the message, etc.

Is there any clue in the bounce message as to what the problem is?

Chop Smith some of those kids are in places I don't want to go to, so hand delivery is out od the question

My son's in the military and I know that they are VERY strict on what goes into those military email boxes. It's basically a work email address, i.e. it would be like someone at IBM getting porn on their IBM business email. Best thing for them to do is get a Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail account for the porn.

Yeah I think you'd be ok if you gently let them know that .mil cannot be accepted at this time for reasons beyond your control, and to please use a free service like Peaches suggested. You can even link them to the free services join page to make it easy for them (hopefully).

On the first error, I'm pretty sure that "Status: 5.1.1" means that the e-mail address you're trying to mail doesn't exist.

Postfix returning "Name or service not known" - I believe that means there was a problem finding an MX record for mrr.usmc.mil

Based on those two errors it doesn't look to me like you're being blocked, unless in the case of the 5.5.1 they're returning an incorrect code if the mail meets a filtering rule on the inbound SMTP server.

Thanx for all the input
I'm putting links up to hotmail, Yahoo and MSN, registering for a free E-mail account isn't that big a thing
and airdick I think I am being filtered out but rather than waste anymore of the few brain cells I have left trying to buck city hall, they can get free E-mail accounts

docholly 2005-02-07 06:40 PM

HEY TP.. i have 150 Gmail accounts.. you could pm me the mil addys you have and i could "invite" them to gmail.. compliments of TJ hoes.

what i'm gonna do with 150 Gmail invites is beyond me.

Hey Tijuana Pat, Peaches is right.
When my hubby was in the military, they gave him a .mil addy and in the user agreement TOS they have the right to scan for suspicious emails or automatically bounce spam etc etc. And over in Iraq, the guys are NOT allowed to look at porn but they can get away with it if they are discreet. Tell them to get a FREE yahoo or hotmail addy they can use, I know the guys can check their emails with those over there too not just the .mil
Anyway, that's a good thing you are doing! Thumbs up on that!

T Pat 2005-02-07 10:30 PM

Thanx docholly but that would be more work for both of us. I'm going to get in line for Kaktus's next opening and have him come up with a solution that doesn't envolve me having to e-mail the servicemen.
Untill then I'm taking everyones advice giving them links to hotmail and yahoo
