Talking puter....
 

oke i posted this in chat chat because i know it will end in chit chat, i found in my puter an option that the puter can talk.......mmmmm a voice called computer sam can speak the words which i write, when does someone use that option?

mmm so here also nobody knows why the function is there? nice, i cant find it in the books either, i think i will search the net for it.:D

maybe a blind person? or a lonely person?

years ago I used to use compuserve's news clipping service and feed that to a cassette tape that I would listen to while I was driving around doing computer service calls. It was the news I wanted to listen to, rather than what was being broadcast on the radio.

When you're driving down the road, it can read directions to you.

When I run kismet, it tells me what wifi networks are nearby and which are encrypted. I could carry my laptop in a backpack or in my car and hear what it discovers.

mmm blind person can be it, lonely not because the computer will only say what you have written, now for the blind that one i can understand....but i have that computer 5 months or so and i have found it by accident, so i wonder how a blind person can find it, as far as i look now it looks like an option not needed, i will search further why it is there.:)

you might look at that, I thought it was in the accessibility options.

You might be able to mouseover a page, and send it to the speech synthesizer somehow

Years ago I found a similar program for the Amiga computer, and a friend of mine found a very interesting use for it.

She had a sexual interest that she did not want people to know about, and she was paranoid about it. For example when she purchased porn videos she not only used a mailing address, but I had to pick them up for her, and I could not go straight to her place from the mail address in case I was followed !

I also have a relative who, at the time made porn videos to order, and specialised in the same thing. She desperately wanted to use his service, was but afraid that if she wrote him a script someone would recognise her handwriting, if she typed it someone would trace her typewriter (?) etc.

So when I found the "talking computer" software she used it to read out the script and recorded it, then got me to take the tape to the film maker.

I just have mine talk dirty to me while I'm building porn sites

Forensic scientists can match the tape with the recording unit. hahaha :)
