Hey fuckers!

As some of you know, I've been dicking away at Filthy Earl for the last week or so and I'm getting ready to semi-finalize his structure. I've removed the sidebar menu from the category pages since it made the longer descrips wrap, and that looked kind of crappy. I've also completed Earl's category descriptions on the main page, though they really don't describe the categories, just Earl's opinions really. ;)
So, at this point I'd like you to toss your hurtful would at me and tell me where I've screwed up.

Your title is "filthy fucking links" but the word "links" doesn't appear in any of the text on your page. This could affect your SE ranking (IMHO)

On each page I got activeX alert - probably your counter but it could look suspicious to anyone having such alert tuned on as I do.
You could also work on description font colour - I do have to focus to read them in 1024x768 (uhm well.. or maybe it time to visit oculist LOL :) )

Besides that I really like it

It's a work in progress. I promise to have it in there way too many times by the time I'm done building it. |thumb I'm trying to find creative ways to squeeze in a bunch of keywords while not losing the personality I want to inject.

Damn it! I just tested it with IE with Active X set to 'prompt' and got the same thing. Damn it. I love that counter. I never even noticed that before. I'm using the same counter on my TGP. Shit.

Yeah, I'm at 800x600 and I'm not happy with the font size and color. Now that I've dropped the side menu I should be able to up the font size. And the more I look at it, that blue color for the descrips is too light unless I make it bold. I'll have to play with that later.[/quote]

Your logo is a little hard to read, maybe lighten up your background a bit? The overall look of your site is a little too dark for me.

Adjust your monitor. TheButcher told me that I can't change the default background color.:D

I find the colors kind of flat, lacking in contrast, and hard to read.

IMO something needs to be brightened up.

But olive drab was the only color paint I could afford.

Maybe a mint font color?

Mints are cheap, just buy a box of them and grind them up.

What if I used a nice baby poop background color within the tables? I tried the mint font color and let's just say that it didn't go so well. So I've decided to to go with a lighter bgcolor in my tables. I also my made the site descriptions black, up'd their font size another pixel, and put each one in a

- a simple line break after each listing was leaving them far too cluttered and making them difficult to read. I've underlined the site titles, as well as added a lovely dull yellow border.

I'm going to have to buy a new box of crayons.

I'm still screwing with the basic layout, but I plan on stuffing that area with ads and more useless stuff.

Next you'll want me to use a legible font in my logo.
