Honest WM Blacklisted

Thanks to stuveltje I went and checked some of my domains for blacklistinging and what do you know, all of my domains are banned for the same reason: "bogus whois hosting"

I have no idea why I got blacklisted for this. I have a dedicated server at The Planet so I am my own webhost. As far as my Whois data is concerned all my contact info is correct except for the phone number which is my JFax number.

I've always been an honest webmaster that uses the same name and e-mail to submit. It's even the same name that I use on the boards. I've never changed my sites or redirected traffic. I've done everything I could to be an honest webmaster yet I've been thrown on the dreaded blacklist. I’ve submitted an appeal for a couple of my domains but it looks like all my domains are blacklisted even the ones I have never used to submit free sites.

I hope the person who blacklisted: sorority-sex.com will see this and see that I’m not just some fly-by-night webmaster that has almost a full year of consistent honest posts.

Regards,

-Altheon

My bad. Well, not me personally, but there's no need to throw anyone under the bus

I took the ones that you appealed off - if there's more on there, just appeal them & reference this thread & I'll get them removed.

Oh - the reason - long story short, we've been looking into the nameserver's & checking them for actual legit sites if something look suspicious & since you're is "Coming soon" we over-reacted - sorry.

Altheon 2005-02-22 04:03 PM

Thank you Greenguy for taking care of this for me. |headbang|

Overall, It's sad that link list owners like yourself have to do so much policing of the submissions. The cheaters are affecting everyone in this biz.

Regards,

-A

I agree. We see one common thing that some scumbags are doing & then we look for that thing when we're patrolling things & every now & then we fuck up & get a legit webmaster, like you :(

Again, sorry about all this :)

Very cool, Greenguy.

stuveltje 2005-02-22 04:59 PM

GG, what is the current position with revsharehosting and the BlackList?

Is the reason acceptable to get unbanned?

"www.hazelsharem.com is banned - Reason: FreeHost

While it's registered at RevShareHosting, it's actually hosted at p4host.com"

Sounds like a similar story as Dan from Wild Unicorns had a while back.

(I'm not vouching for this person btw, just asking the question)

Greenguy 2005-02-22 06:04 PM

If they pay a bill for hosting, it's OK - if they don't pay a bill, it's "free hosting" & added to that portion of the blacklist.

Opti 2005-02-22 06:11 PM

thanks.. that should please them :-)

plateman 2005-02-22 06:29 PM

Wow thats bad and I hope nobody thinks my whois is bogus someday and I checked mine and my regstar doent give much info but enough..

sundiver 2005-02-22 06:44 PM

just checked blacklist and found my domain there:

foxypussy.net appeal
Reason: bogus whois hosting

all my whois info is correct. appealing now.. hope it will help. :)

plateman 2005-02-22 06:50 PM

sundiver if you put your name server in a browser you get a porn page, looks like your host is in the porn biz and I've deleted and blacklisted for that..

sundiver 2005-02-22 06:55 PM

hmm... thanks for your reply. I'll hit my hosting owner up, hope he'll be able to explain this situation.

btw, and why it is bad if my hosting is in porn business?

Linkster 2005-02-22 07:12 PM

Actually its not bad to have your host in the porn biz - however it is bad to use their free hosting for submissions - the nameserver is on their free host

sundiver 2005-02-22 07:17 PM

it is not a free host as far as I pay for it.

Linkster 2005-02-22 07:25 PM

They charge you to promote their stuff on their host??? I havent seen an affiliate program that does that - they might take a piece of the sales, that I have seen before - revsharehosting type stuff

sundiver 2005-02-22 07:29 PM

who are "they"? I promote these programs on this domain: www.g3x.com, www.onrequestbucks.com, www.spacash.com. also I used to promote signup4cash on this domain and I have links to pussycash and flashcash from my 404 page.
so who are "they"? :)

MrMaryLou 2005-02-22 07:33 PM

What is your hosting companys name?

Linkster 2005-02-22 07:44 PM

MML - thats why I was asking - that DNS is AFREVENUE.com's free host - they offer free hosting to their affiliates - and its kinda hard to have a dns on a free host unless you are hosted on it?

AFRevenue 2005-02-22 07:54 PM

Hello

It is my hosting... i.e. it is my dedicated server in APS Communications datacenter.
I'm just trying to start a small hosting business. It is not a free hosting, of course... I sell virtual hosting accounts.
Nameserver is also my own.

Sorry... I just use one nameserver for my freehost and for my payhost too.
May be it's wrong...
But I have only one affiliate program, afrevenue.com, with two pay sites.
And all, based on my DNS, domains, which promote another affiliate programs, are on my pay hosting (and on another server).

P.S. I'm going to escape from offer a free hosting to my affiliates... Cause now "free host" becomes a "banned host" by default.

I'm just a beginner in hosting deals (2 months only)... my company has not a name yet.

Short historical note (just for fun)

When I was brawny tall blonde, several years ago, and just made my first steps in the adult biz...
I was posting my galleries and free sites from affiliate program's hosting... and pay $3 per gigabyte (It was deducted monthly from my payouts).
It was when sky was blue and grass was green and when usual revenue distribution in partnership programs was 30/70 (in program owner favor), and own domain was a quitly cool thing ( I had one!!! )
