Strange horizontal gallery

This is the first time I've seen a gallery intentionally built that way. Odd, very odd.

Odd. But it did get your attention. And isn't getting attention of your visitors the most important aspect if you want him to buy something.

The first time I ever came across a horizontal site was back in 1997, so it's not completely new. In that case it was some sort of art site, but done better in respect of reading text; all text was in tables just covering a monitor width (and that's what I think you have to do!). Recently I found another art site which had a normal (or rather narrow) center table (about 500 pixels wide) and a horizotally scrolling iframe in the middle (set to 100%) - that was working rather well and looked good!

Big question: did you approve it? Will others approve it? Please reply!

I have been toying with this idea for a long time, but always dicarded it for fear of breaking some (unwritten) rules.

I'm not looking for artistic innovation. I'm looking for galleries. As attractive as the page is, it breaks my very basic rules. It doesn't fit in an 800px window. It was submitted to teen and I no longer accept teen submissions from non-partners (a tgp named Whoring Wives can use only so many teen galleries). Look at the title bar. Busty blonde? Perky titted brunette is much more accurate. Even if this puppy was built to fit in a 800px wide browser, I still would not have accepted it. I don't trust anyone who uses 14 huge thumbs like that. Maybe this person is only submitting this gallery to sites like mine where you're not going to burn much bw, but it still makes you suspicious.

I can hit my space bar to scroll a page. (I think PC users can too) This is something that I can't do if the page scrolls sideways. Personally I think it is just bad design.

Wow! That's a bit on the weird side for sure.

If you change the file name to index.html you get a no recip gallery which would kinda suggest the builder planned on mass submitting the gallery.

Another point of interest is, when going to the domain root you get a "403 Forbidden" error.

Anyway, nice pics and you can use the arrow keys to scroll it but umm, not sure about listing it...maybe if it was done better...:)

that is like when people put the scrollbar on the left side.... it gets my attention and makes me hit the back button real quick without even looking at the page... but that is just me, maybe it works for some people

Thats a funny and innovate design for me but I dont think this gal's gonna get listed at
many places...

I think it's a clever idea, I don't know if most TGP owners would accept it though (because of usability issues).

But it does bring my attention out of the box.
