How Would I Setup An Escort Site?
 

My options are either to setup an escort site or upsell to an escort sponsor. I'm cultivating some traffic which would be IDEAL for this niche. It may well be easier using a sponsor but if anyone has any useful info, I'd certainly appreciate it or any pointers.

Not a dumb question, dude. I know what you might call escorts here in the UK. What I'm interested in doing though is basically giving U.S escorts a presence online.

One option is to simply list profiles, including pics, and link direct to that Escort's page with the sponsor.

Another option would be to just set something up myself and charge a nominal monthly fee.

Reading the above, it sounds a little like US escorts dont already have a presence. I didn't mean that. :) Just that I'd like to give them more presence. It would really go down well with my traffic..

Ahhh - ok - I get it now (I was thinking maybe you knew of an escort or 2 & was thinking of setting up a site for them)

I'd think it'd be easier to set up a site to promote a sponsor as opposed to accepting funds directly from hookers :D

You might be right! I've been looking at a few escort sites and thought I could probably do it. Escort gets free publicity, I get free content. *rubs greedy hands*

Be aware that there is a lot of competition. I have a couple of friends who work as "escorts", they are listed on a few such sites, and are constantly getting spam email from other sites asking them to sign up. If you run such a site you are going to need two things:

1. A reason you are better than all the others (both for the surfers and the escorts).

2. A way of contacting enough escorts to get your site running (just advertising, or sending out emails, will get you ignored by them, they see so much of it).

Also, you said "I know what you might call escorts here in the UK.", I take it from this that you are based in Britain? If so, get a good solicitor to look into it before you go ahead. Last I heard it was still illegal to run this sort of site over here, and the D.P.P. were actively hunting down webmasters and sending them to jail (it makes no difference if it is hosted abroad, or if it is only for non British citizens, or both, if you are British, or living in Britain and the law has not been changed in the last year, they will go after you).
