Getting stories listed
 

I've been writing some short stories mainly as spider fodder, but it occured to me that I might be able to get them listed. Are ther many sites that accept stories, and, if so, what are the rules? This is an example of one of mine

I suspect that I've got too many out links for submissions. Would it be sufficient to lose the top two, or would the copyright line need to go as well?
There is also a home page link, should this be removed leaving the page as an orphan?

Thanks for the link, but I must be slow today as I'm not sure how to select sites from it, or to determine the rules for stories.

Is it easiest just to submit them to link dumps?

When I list story free sites they need to have a warning/main page structure like a standard free site, and I like to see at least 3 decent length stories in the "galleries." That said, I list story sites regularly. :)

Head Boy - every Link List has their own rules, so you'll have to read thru them to see which sites will accept the sites you'll be submitting.

Thanks, I see where I'm going wrong. I'm thinking of them as gallery alternatives rather than free sites. Could I have the 3 "stories" as episodes in a longer story, or should they be independent stories?

3 episodes is fine with me. IMO you'll get better results if they're either in the same niche or part of the same story and you make it obvious with the title and description.

To me it depends on the length and quality. With what you listed, i'd probably like to see about 10 stories. Thats just me...:)

I'll write one tomorrow, and I'd be grateful for your comments. I'm into these "fucking oven" stories atm and I'd already got a two episode one planned, but it can easily become 3 if she stays the night. :)
