How many sponsors are you signed up for?

Just curious... :)

I counted linkshare, cj and reporting.net as 1 each -- even though I can send traffic to hundreds of different places, the check normally comes from one place and I only send traffic to a handful on each.

PR_Tom 2005-03-04 12:28 PM

1-5 I think.. Might be more than 5, but promote very few actually.. I check stats on a couple of extras because I have some old links up.

andymike 2005-03-04 01:05 PM

I'm signed up for about 10 - 12 sponsors. However, most have taken backseat to 3 of them. Just because I make good money from those 3.

HC-Majick 2005-03-04 01:19 PM

I'm signed up with quite a few (40+), but I only actively promote 5 or 6 of them.

Useless 2005-03-04 02:10 PM

I just counted 83 that I'm signed with in my "Sponsors" folder in my favorites. I counted another 17 in my Wives speicific sponsor folder. That doesn't mean that I promote them or even bother to use their FHGs on my TGPs. I sign up, find out how hard or how easy it is to promote them and go from there. They all promise the world. Very few deliver.

I'm still looking for sponsors who will run me a line a credit. If you find any, let me know.

Guess I should've added a few more options to this poll, lol. :) Do you guys promting 20+ sponsors find it difficult to keep track of all the different paysites, stats, updates, link codes, etc.? And do you promote their entire paysite catalogs or just their sites in your favorite niche?

tickler 2005-03-04 02:48 PM

I have a ton of sponsors, which equals quite a few paysites.

Generally, I am only promoting a few at time(mainly for SE linking stuff) but I have links up for all of them and all their sites in various niche hubs. Like here's a teen hub and here's all my teen sponsors, and let the surfers pick what they want. Top converting sites migrate to the top of the list.

I created a sponsors folder in my favorites where I put all of them pointing at the login page for each one. I can go right down the list checking each sponsor's stats, or get into the ads, content, whatever pretty easily. I don't usually promote the entire paysite catalog, usually start with one or two, and see how they convert, if they do well right off the bat, i start sending to their other paysites.

Too many..:(

Pain in the ass to keep track of sometimes.

Greenguy 2005-03-04 05:53 PM

I've probably signed up for 20 this year :D

Thumbler 2005-03-04 06:36 PM

I think you should have put 50+, 75+ and 100+ LOL

pcum 2005-03-04 06:38 PM

I am using almost 20 sponsors, but I want more, but need more traffic first ;)

A lot. Probably too many. But...you just never know when you're going to find "the one", you know?

That's the system I have too ;)
Plus I have them alphabetically so each one is easy to find.

I also have a folder for sponsors to join in the future (which is getting way outta hand... lol...), and within that folder separate folders for sponsors with free hosted sites, those with free trials etc.

My friends say I'm way too organized for my own good :D

Lisa.

dareutwo 2005-03-05 02:14 PM

Beats me really. 50+ at least.
Though concentrate on 3-5 at a time.
I have the Sponsors folder thing too, but if I drop a sponsor, I don't change any sites.
So I still get the odd "who sent this check" thing.

Actually all my sponsors/sites are stored in DB tables. Being a programmer I have programs that create HTML files, including sponsors lists.

th3g4me 2005-03-06 12:59 AM

If I was signed up at more than two sponsors I would never get a check, because I would never go over the min amount of money... :(

Keep your head up, it gets better. |thumb

From the opposite viewpoint:

I have a lot of affiliates but only a handful send decent traffic. I wish I knew why some sign up and never send a single click.

Being able to consolidate multiple sponsors into one check comes in kinda handy sometimes.

SaNteria 2005-03-07 12:27 AM

I have 49 sponsors that I send at least 1 hit/day to, but I'm probably signed up to another 50+ sponsors as well.
