Anyone from Britain here?

I'm amazed at how many Brits I have encountered on the board and around the last couple of days.

It's strange how many have come out of the woodwork since the Random Member Contest was held at a UK friendly time.

Maybe the British just prefer to lurk?

Jim 2005-03-04 05:10 PM

Lurk or do what the US tells them to do, urb :)

urb 2005-03-04 05:23 PM

I'm just killing time while my hard drive slows down for a Norton scan. :)

Jim 2005-03-04 05:25 PM

Getting kind of late over there, isn't it?

urb 2005-03-04 05:26 PM

I don't like to stress my hard drive during the day :)

Greenguy 2005-03-04 05:46 PM

My ancestors are from Ireland & Scottland - do I count? :)

Cleo 2005-03-04 05:48 PM

I liked the Beetles when I was a little girl

You have a Welsh surname too. :)

My family is Irish/Italian, so I ain't really a Brit, except I was born here.

Greenguy 2005-03-04 06:09 PM

Oddly enough, you are correct Urb - there is a little Welch in me as well :)

LMAO - Good one

Incidentally, it's 'Welsh' not 'Welch'

And I'm not British - I'm English :D

Knee slappingly funny - almost thought I was reading a transcript from the radio Show :D

Thumbler 2005-03-04 07:00 PM

I must tune in to the radio show one of these days

I ate beans on toast once. Can I be an honorary Brit?

I do think the English beer is so good and nourishing that you can live off of it. Which is the only reason the Brits survive because you can’t eat the food sober :)

Actually if you know the name of the oldest house in Edinborough then you know my last name but I'm a Virginian.

One of my passports says that I am a british citizen... gotta love how that all works.

:-)

Me is a Brit, lived all my life in London, England. Although I intend to move near the sea in a few years time, I could never live more that a short train journey from London (one of the great things about Britain is that it is a thin enough island that everywhere is no more that a couple of hours drive from the coast, so I got several hundred miles of coastline that's within an hour of London by train).

ecchi 2005-03-04 10:31 PM

SirMoby - While I agree with your comments on British beer (one of the reasons I would never live in America is our difference in what we call "beer") you are obviously no foodie. Go pick up the latest issue of the magazine "Gourmet", which is an American magazine dedicated to food. The March issue is dedicated to the city that the publishers feel is the city with "the best restaurants on the planet". That city is London, England.

Jel 2005-03-05 12:36 AM

I'm a Brit :D

ecchi 2005-03-05 12:48 AM

cfnmparty- OK, so it is 5.30 in the middle of the night, what are you doing up and posting.

Jel 2005-03-05 03:58 AM

Hehe, 5 am-ish is my getting up time - weekends I finish work at 11am so that still gives me a good 6 hours to get some stuff done

urb 2005-03-05 10:11 AM

Speaking of the Welsh and CFNM ... did you know that the whole male stripper cfnm internet thing started in Swansea, Wales? :)

Both the Loverboysusa.com and what used to be the Serial Thrillas (now 4CFNM.com) originate from the same town.

Wow. I'm shocked but then again I thought Hong Kong was a bad place for food until I learned how to choose restaurants. I spent most of my time in Theale (outside Reading), Nottingham and Leeds and little time in London itself.

Maybe they do have some great restaurants that they’ve imported from other countries but there’re also top recipes like mushy peas to deal with :)

The British beer is the best in world but I'll never admit that while in Germany or Belgium.

ecchi 2005-03-05 01:30 PM

Hell man, how old are you, "mushy peas" went out of fashion decades ago. Only grandparents (and great grandparents) still eat them (and possibly a few Northerners, but they always were behind the times, and most decidedly uncivilised).

Jel 2005-03-05 01:35 PM

Hey Urb :)
Yeah I knew that, what self respecting cfnm promoter wouldn't ;)
Seriously, I actually thought you were a Brit, can't remember why exactly, think you done some design work for Iceman? Either way good to meet you |shake|

Well, I'm a Northerner from Lancashire and although I might admit to being behind the times, I don't think I'm uncivilised.

You can still get mushy peas in Lancashire from a decent chippy (assuming you can find one that isn't Chinese that is). You can still get Black Pudding as well, which is a traditional health food where I come from :D
