Happy with Biz?
Let's face it, we all face up and downs, but how's everyone doing in terms of goals? |pimpin Have you reached them? Exceeded them...Personally 2004 was a great year for me....I'm psyched for 2005! |party
|
2004 was better than 2003 but 2000 (the last year Bubba was in office) was by far my best.
This year so far, things are down a bit - but I have plans :D |
I'm far off from reaching my goals unfortunately. But, hoping 2005 is a good year for the biz. :)

I don't make goals. Goals are just wrought with disappointment and failure.

Last year was my best ever in this biz but so far this year sales have been disappointing but not awful. Then again last year started out with less then fantastic sales so maybe this year will be the same.
|
even i had alot of goals and plans, the earnings are still good, i am just to tired of shit from others and the fightings i have with others and i am realy thinking to sell the whole shit and disapear.......even now i take time of i check and chit is happening, is it a test??? i dont know but on this moment i hate bizz like hell |angry|

My goal is hire Tommy as my full time designer, Hillary Swank as my personal body guard, Salma Hayek as my Spanish speaking nanny and Sophie Marceau as my French maid.
I just don't think I'll be able to afford all 4 of them this year but we'll see. |
Well going into my 2nd year things are looking up and I want to more than ever to keep building.. feb. I made more than the first 6 months when I started and jan wasnt bad it was a taste of things to come.. but what I am doing is nothing compared to the long term guys But I am at the point where I am seeing a sale or 2 everyday and had some killer weekends yesterday had 4 sales.. What you have to do is keep hammering away ONCE you find something that works and shove it in there face and ram it up there ass to make a sale and still be there friend..
|
I probably made close to 50 times as much money in 99 than I did last year. But, shit happens :)

This year is going OK, but sales haven't been off the hook or anything. I have some plans to expand into other areas though, so anything could happen. :) |
shit happens , thats a good one, the owrse is i dont have to work and still i worked my freaken ass off for 18+ hours for 3 years, yeah i make money and yeah its still giving me money , 2004 was a good year and 2005 and only be better, but hell some attitudes in this bizz, and the fighting( i am not pointing fingers)Stu<---- is realy in a bad attitude for 3 weeks now so she needs to disapear for awhile..... |dizzy|
|
Last year had no ups or downs since I only worked a total of 2-3 weeks. Women |angry|
This year I threw all old goals out the window... or the things I had in my head that I wanted to do. I didn't really have a common goal for all the different things. So I started over and have written everything down and made sure all the things has a part in the main goal. It will take a lot of work but 2005 will be a good year |thumb |
Like GreenGuy 2000 was my personal best year. But I have really high exspectations for this coming year. Lots of big plans and goals, lets hope there is enough time to make them all happen :)

1999 -- hmm.. Jim, wasn't that the year I moved 1020 miles and got fired 13 days later? :)
2001 was a good year for me, although Aug 13, 2001 started my sleeping problems. 2002-2004 were years of decline. 2005 has started off looking worse than 2004, but, after 14 months of sinking money into two projects and having them completed recently, things are finally starting to take shape. Perhaps soon I can cut back to 18x7. |
Hehe 99 was the year I started in the biz.
My sleeping problems also started in August of 2001...my daughter was born. I`ve seen steady increases every year since. Still not up to my goals but I`ve not had near as much time to devote to it as I`ve liked all along. But I can`t complain if income keeps rising even if it`s not where I`d like it to be. I just keep trying to learn and expand in all areas. |
I've been in this business since June of 1996. 1999 was my best year, 2000 was second best. I went thru a divorce in 2001 and 2001 thru 2003 were my worst years in this business, dollar wise. Things are looking pretty good now though. Matter of fact, January was the best month that we've ever had!
|
Last year was my best year, and 2005 is bringing some good things.
I'm expanding my network, and placing more eggs in my basket by doing SEO, back to gallery submitting, link lists, and design. I'm hoping to be the next adult Rennaissance man! :D |
Things are not going the way I had hoped for this year. However...this year's "bad" months are still better than last year's "good" months, so there is progress. Just not as much as I'd like.
I'm starting to become acutely aware of many ways in which I'm wasting time. Trying to learn to reign myself in and focus on what's worthwhile. |
Yes, very happy ...it could be better though...2004 was lots of development of our program AdultLounge.com and started a new business ( from all the content laying around ) WorldWideContent.com...2005 is all about qaulity and making money with our affiliates...very excited!

Last year was the best ever and this year will be SO MUCH better. Just getting started...:)

I doubt anyone will ever do as well as we all did pre-99. Well, at least not without 99x more effort! |
Our sales have continued in a steady increase.
However, we are probably different than most of what you guys are doing as we sell a unique durable good. I have a question for the group though.... Do you feel, as adult webmasters, that you are getting a share of a decreasing market? The adult website business is always In a constant state of flux, and it's my impression that the continuing trend to "free" content is hurting websites with memberships? Am I wrong in this impression? It seems that the membership churn, which was at one time about 3 months has decreased to just over 1 month on average. And since many of your affiliate programs offer to pay out from 50-150% of the monthly membership fee, do you find it difficult to glean a profit from the revenues? Or do you just feel you are constantly passing the same "buck" around the circle? |cool| |

Do you find that some months are always bad? When I was in the Video store Business, September was ALWAYS the lowest and slowest time of the year. (new shows, kiddies going back to school we figured) Do you find that to be true here as well? |
