Prevent losing PR to sponsor links / banners?
|
Your pagerank will not pass onto a dynamic URL such as:
h--p://www.coedsneedcash.com/?wm_login=useridhere&cf=y |
google has no problem with dynamic urls, i have many indexed.
|
Ya, google does index them.
No follow probably would'nt hurt anyways. ronnie |
In my opinion, there's a difference between following a URL and passing pagerank to a URL.
Googlebot will follow dynamic URLs (obviously, just looking at GG&J shows that), but I don't think the pagerank will be passed. I've yet to see a dynamic URL with Pagerank. As Linkster said in a previous thread, avoid the use of the nofollow tag if you are intentionally trying to inflate your Pagerank. Google hasn't yet placed any strict measures on the abuse of the nofollow tag, but you never know. The nofollow tag was designed to thwart blog spammers inserting their URLs in an entry's comment section. It was not designed to plug PR leaks on a site. |
Joe, i guess we will have to agree to disagree, because I believe google crawls and passes pr to dynamic urls with no problems.
Fair enough comment on the no follow attribute but i am more interested if sponsors or link list owners will be concerned if i use it. Cheers, |
