Stupid Internet Explorer Question
On my wife's computer IE doesn't open the "Password Dialoge Box" when you need a password to log into a site (instead it jumps straight to "Authorization Required" screen) - now we are often submitting from that machine and have several sites which require a pwd to access the submission page - no luck!
We are using IE because we submit with RoboForm (and the newer "free" versions, which work with Mozilla, don't have sufficient custom fields) - hence we're stuck with IE... Any HELP? [Google wasn't] Additional info: Win XP Pro, (twisted pair) Networked, ZoneAlarm, IE 6, my wife's computer connects to Internet thru my ADSL... |
George, check to see if "Enable Integrated Windows Authentication" is still checked.
View>Tools>Internet Options>Advanced and scroll way down to Security. That's the only thing I can think of. |
I wish I could help but I'm at a loss. Every couple of months I get some surfer complaining about that happening to them and I have no idea what to tell them. Please post your results.

Get a Mac :D
(I thought I'd save Cleo from typing that up herself) |

But as I work day in and day out while never having to mess with my system, worry about viruses, or do any maintenance I do wonder why anyone would use Windows with as much problems as I see posted daily. |

once we added each and every URL to the entries of 'Trusted Sites' we get the password dialoge to open up... There ought to be an easier way! But then with Microsoft's habbit of hiding things in a submenu of a submenu of a submenu - who's supposed to find it? |
