Heads UP - gallery submitter with Trojan

I wonder if I should instead submit this in the TGP category instead of here in the Main category ??

HEADS UP > > > >
it might be that one of the tgp submitters below has a virus on their gallery...

I was reviewing tgp submits and had windows for all the galleries below open...
each one was ranked by me as either REJECTED or BANNED for either excessive pop up windows
or browser annoyance wanting to install a toolbar... then my virus detection software kicked in to
alert me that one of those had put the Trojan.dropped on my system and my virus detection
software isolated it... (it took me an hour and a half to go through the process to be sure
the Trojan had been totally removed from my pc)
the instructions for that I found here:
http://securityresponse1.symantec.co...n.dropper.html

below are the submits I needed to Reject or Ban:

(note the ones towards the bottom are what I am leaning towards smacking...
unless whomever did it had the thing on a timed release)

I dont know if it has anything to do with the above virus, but this is fucking insane, some random links on some of my domains get changed to some tooncomics.com page with loads of popups and shit! And I dont know how to stop it, and I dont know if its my browser thats fucked or everyone clicking my links that go there.....please look on gay-tour.com to see if any links leads to tooncomics.com, this cant be good :|pissed|

The Symantec link gives me a "Error 500
HTTP Web Server: Illegal Arguments Exception".

There are many of these hidden files :( Try a spybot

Cleo 2003-10-22 11:02 AM

Hahaha

I get "Sorry your browser is not Win32 compliant" and the it just resizes my browser.

Cleo 2003-10-22 11:10 AM

I clicked on them a whole bunch of times…

They are running some kind of redirection script. Most of the time I would get the gallery and there is nothing in the page code to be doing this.

Once in awhile I would get this, but I would also get a alert bitching that I'm not on Windows.

Even if you dont work on a mac you should do yourself a favor and at least review on one. It will save you thousands of hours a year

that's a GREAT idea Freeway...
thanks...

I wonder how much a Mac would be (one for just that purpose) and purchased in Dayton, Ohio USA ??

would I be able to access my AG SQL software admin from a Mac if it was accessed originally with a Windows PC - or doesn't that have anything to do with anything... I can og back and forth on both PCs at the same time within the Auto Gallery SQL admin, correct ??

oh and here's another link to the fix instructions for the Trojan.dropper on they Norton site:
http://securityresponse1.symantec.co...n.dropper.html
.
.
.

after I hit "Save Changes" to post THIS message - I see that it truncated the url again... so to get to the site...
use google :
with the keywords: Trojan.dropper

and the Symantec url you want is there - should be the first one...

Bell AGP works just fine on my Mac, but it does prefer IE over Mozilla for some strange reason.

This is a good place to look.

Cool thing too is you would be able to brush up on your UNIX skills.

The easiest way is to uncheck " Automatically parse URLs" that is located just below the posting window.
