I'm Home...Finally
 

Well after 2 weeks of vacationing I am finally home. The wife and I are tired out after a week in Orlando. We hit Disney and my son and I hit Universal. What an awesome place that is. Great rides. And all that after we were on a cruise first for 5 days thanks to ExtremePaychecks.

But the airline lost one of our bags. :(
We checked 5 bags and only got 4 when we landed. The worst part? It was dirty clothes so almost all of the new shirts and things we bought in Mexico and Florida. Plus our $800 Sony Mini Camcorder was in that suitcase. I hope they find it. |dizzy|

Good to be home! Though I had internet for the week in Florida I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.

Lego display? No we didn't. Overall I wasn't that impressed with Disney. Only because you cannot see most of the characters unless you stand in line and they are hidden until you get to them. But my daughter really really liked the parade so it made it all worthwhile.

We all loved Wet 'n Wild, it was a blast and it was in the mid 80's too so a beautiful day. We missed SeaWorld because it rained that day we planned to go. Next time I guess.

Well the jet setter is back :)

Ramster, don’t forget your $6000 worth of equipment you always carry in that bag, and the Rolex and $10,000 in stocks and bonds.

Disney is ok, the main reason the characters are hard to see and get to, is they have a 15 min rule, every 15 mins they are switched out, so if you see Donald, and 20 mins later you see Donald again, it is not the same person in that suit. (Due to the heat and Union)

Also if you know what you are looking for, you can see the characters "body guards", they all have at least 3 I am told and they do their best not to be seen and to blend in, but with characters like Snow White, and Pocahontas they get more guards and are more visible since they get groped and whatever much more then the others.

We ran into Pocahontas in the animal kingdom and she had 3 body guards within 10’ of her at all times and they was wearing matching Disney shirts, and we saw 2 more in plain clothes fallowing her every move.

Body guards for the Disney characters? hehe Makes sense I guess.

oh god i am so jelouse, i wanna go to orlando, what keeps me is an afraid hubby who dont dare to fly after the 11 sept things and some bad experience with an plain, i think i just will order some tickets hit him on the head put his mouth full with sleeping pills and wake him up when we are there and do the same thing when we need to go fly back home....... i would love to see some picks ramster...maybe that will convinche him there is fun on the other side of the world and flying isnt that bad:D

Ramster, NEVER check anything worth stealing. The limit is only $1,200 per bag (at least it was) and single items over a couple of hundred bucks are rarely paid for without solid proof it was in the luggage :(

My one and only venture to Mickey land was the week between xmas and new years. we ended up staying at our hotel which was far more fun for my son as the pool was right next to the game room and for his mom who could suck down bloody marys.

sux about the bag.. hopefully they'll find it.. and i do think it is a 1200 max still.

If you need help making up receipts, let me know..i'm the queen of lost luggage. ;)

Here are a few pics from both the cruise to Grand Cayman/Mexico and then my family trip to Orlando and Disney. Not a lot of pics as we took most of the pics of our kids of course.

And yes that is my sunburned back. That was from the first day of the cruise. Thankfully that only lasted a day and by Mexico my back was not sore. There's a nice pic of Jay not feeling too good after a few too many shooters. ;)
