HBO's Carnivale fans?

I watch this show religeously!

I was so pissed that he didn't kill brother Justin!

Next week looks great!

LOL!

Damn, I haven't had a chance to see this weeks yet, stupid TIVO crapped out...:(

Maybe tonight on "On Demand" though...:)

Is this the last season? Everything sure seems to be coming to a head...

Regards,
SF

I am waiting until I have enough of this season saved up on demand to watch it for a few days :)

Greenguy 2005-03-21 09:06 PM

I watch it every week, but the cheese factor crept in when they tied it in with the atomic bomb.

When was that? I hate it when I miss something!

I don't know if this is the final season, but the season finally is this Sunday the 27th.

Dude, it's been tied in with the bomb from the git-go!

Quote:

"Before the beginning, after the great war between Heaven and Hell, God created the Earth and gave dominion over it to the crafty ape he called man. And to each generation was born a creature of light and a creature of darkness. And great armies clashed by night in the ancient war between good and evil. There was magic then, nobility, and unimaginable cruelty. And so it was until the day that a false sun exploded over Trinity, and man forever traded away wonder for reason."
(Sampson's opening monologue, season 1 episode 1)

I can't wait for next week's ep, but I don't want it to end! From what I understand, they won't know until June if there's going to be a third season. *fingers crossed*

Naw, I'm not hooked...

tortus32 2005-03-22 06:48 AM

Ok, I remember that monologue. I guess I just ignored any relevance it had as far as the atomic bomb and the story line.

I remembered the part about "And to each generation was born a creature of light and a creature of darkness."
That seemed to have more to do with the story at hand.

I guess I have selective memory - lol!!

I hope there's another season, but I guess they'll have to come up with another quest for "the boy" - and hopefully the cast won't get all high and mighty like the Sopranos.

I don't remember that monologue but I'd have never tied it in with an atomic bomb when I heard it - LOL

HoneLynn 2005-03-22 03:03 PM

I can't wait for this Sunday. And I want to make a comment about a discovery on one of the last two episodes but, I don't want to spoil it for those of you that haven't seen it yet. All I can say is I *knew* it!

Just a bit of goofy trivia:

Did you know that the actor who plays Brother Justin (Clancy Brown) is also the voice of Mr. Krabs on Spong Bob Square Pants?

Arrrg! How goofy is that!

I have a minor Trinity obsession, so my ears pricked right up when I heard that bit... |shocking|

And he was also "Victor Kruger/The Kurgan" in the movie Highlander. Evil to the core, I tell ya!

I am hopelessly addicted to Carnivale! Seen every episode faithfully week to week and have become more and more fixated with this apocalyptic "soap opera", if you will. It's interesting, morbid, funny, sexual, and creepy all at the same time.

I don't know what attracts me to it but I just keep on watching it.

tortus32 2005-03-23 09:09 AM

I love how they do the opening with the 2D cards going 3D - nice work.

I *love* that movie. Cream my pants everytime I watch it. |bananna|

I'm a faithful watcher. I don' know what it is about it, but I have to watch it every week. :D
