Not great news from NW Minnesota
http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/03/22/sch...ing/index.html
This happened yesterday About 90 miles from where we live. I've been there quite a few times with my other job. :( |
yeah, I think it's even sadder that Terri is headline news and I didnt see this until 6:44pm last night while watching ABC World News.
Even today, this crap over Terri is getting headline news..... gusse no one cares when kids kill others anymore.... |
If it was in Edina - money central suburb of Minneapolis it would have been front page all day.
The Red Lake Rez just doesn't seem to matter unless there is fishing involved. Kids just got home and the whole school has been discussing it. Which is a good thing. |
I live near Columbine and had a front-row seat to all of the mayhem and circumstance. I know the media took a beating over all the coverage... newspapers, television, cable, magazines, you name it. There were a handful of shootings after that and the media blasters blamed it on all the publicity surrounding and following Columbine. Admittedly, I had to agree they may have had a valid point.
I'd like to think the media is toning things down a bit, not giving school shootings front page importance anymore, but I'm too cynical to believe that. It's all about them focusing on Bushie's latest f*ckup IMHO (i.e. Terry), at the behest of the White House I'm sure. Don't know who gets to decide what's "important news" these days, but I can assure you they don't live at my house. :( |

Wow. :(

I can't even weigh in on either topic as both will result in about a 3 page disertation which will probably appear on my blog.
Suffice it to say.. once again the Bully's won.. both in MN and in DC. |angry| |
