House is coming along, they should get it done soon (two bilsl competing).

No fake headers, no faked subject lines, etc.

Not sure what this will do for overseas spammers, but I suspect that someone will move to block mail from China and a few places until the spam drops off, after all, it will stand out pretty bad at that point.

You can still spam, but you have to admit who you are, your subject lines have to be clear, and you have admit where you are mailing from (no header re-writing!). Million dollar files or five years being bubba's bitch in a federal butt slamming house.

That's some good news, for a change. No doubt, congress riddled it with elements that will be struck down by the supremes, but at least it's a step in the right direction.

All this deceptive spam is just brutal.

But but....No spam?? How will I ever find the good deals I have been getting on my penis enlargement cream, my boob enhancement creams, my anti-depressants and my refinancing options??? |jester|

I just want to give a politician MY "inbox" for a day... then they would make those laws tougher...:(

It'll probably get an amendment tacked on in the House to try to limit access to porn on the internet to satisfy the WH, and then get dropped.

send them mine while you're at it too.... it's getting out of hand. Ironic thing is that it's my personal account being spammed heavily. Only ppl who ever got it were family and select few friends. I'm guessing it's dictionary spammers hitting my isp's domain.

I had an idea. not a nice idea, but an idea.

What would happen if, in your mail filters, instead of deleting stuff, you forwarded it to a specific place... say complaints@ftc.gov or georgebush@whitehouse.gov or yoursenator@hisdomain.gov and let them handle it all?

Can you imaging the meltdown as hundreds of thousands of people forward their shitmail to these people? Heck, I could too out an easy 2k mails a day by myself... 100,000 people doing it would mean 200 million emails a day hit ONE address.

Not a denial of service, mind you, but a complaint. A protest. I shouldn't have to deal with all this shit in my mailbox, and someone in the guvvernmint needs to know about it.

Just a thought.

Now how do I get back all the lost time, energy and money it's caused me over the past 6 years?

My keyboard keys always lose their print after a while.

I have a mouse and keyboard graveyard!!! :)

Typical keys which wear down are "A", "S", "O" etc.... but this is the first year I have noticed my "Delete" key with almost no print left on it at all.

I think we all agree on this one. :)
