Hundreds of my pages translated....?
 

I have a site I call my "hub". It's like a link list but I list a lot of my free sites and links to sponsors' tours. I just found that someone has copied HUNDREDS of my pages and translated them into German. As far as I can tell, all of my referral links are in place. Well, they are there but with the translation there is a lot of other junk in the referral codes. I'm checking with sponsors to make sure my ref codes are still correct and working, but if they are, what good could this do for someone?? I'm totally confused

if your sponsor links work, then its good :) i could care less if people steal my pages, as long as they leave my sponsor links! otherwise i want to cut their balls off

Oh I agree, if my links work, they can copy my stuff all day. I just can't get a grip on how this would help someone else...

Hrm.. I'd say there's a good chance you're getting screwed and they aren't tracking properly. It's likely he's doing it for German SE traffic. I'd email his host and have the pages removed.

If I find that my link codes are working, I'll leave it alone. If my codes are NOT working, how do I find out who his host is?

Someone was doing that to my gallery pages. Only they were downloading page, hosting the page and trying to hotlink to the pictures on my server. Of course hotlink protection they only got a red x, but they didn't change my referral code and I did end up getting a sale from one of these hijacked pages. (amazing since there was no pictures on the galleries, lol, just red x's and sales text) :D

Still, I didn't exactly like the idea, but looks like they stopped doing it or moved on to someone elses pages.
