is traffic better on weekends

For the most part it is because not as many people are working so you don't have to deal with any rush hours. Of course you do have your Saturday shoppers clogging up the roads a bit but overall traffic is better.

Wait...did you mean online traffic? Oops. |bananna|

Seriously, the bigger traffic tgps and sites see a drop in visitors on the weekend but many people say conversions are better.

After the last thread about this I started to moniter my traffic to signup ratio a bit more closely. And sure enough, I do a lot better on weekends in the signup department.

But Tuesday-Thursday are my biggest traffic days.

I contribute most of that due to people at work. A lot of people will surf free porn at work, thus the influx of traffic during the week, when people are there. But they are least likely to actually buy something while they are there. Not too many guys will sit at their desks and beat off. (I did say not to many.)

Then, when they get home on the weekend and find themselves alone, it's "crack out the credit card and the hand lotion" time....

Seems like WED & THURS are my best nights.

back in 98 my friends used to call Wednesday "wet wednesday" cause the traffic always seemed to be 25% up on any other day could never work it out, but now it seems to be Tuesday-Thursday as Dr Bizzaro said, however my sales are also higher at this time.

Also right after kids go back to school from holiday's I see a surge of sales like the parents have stayed away from the computer for the last few weeks/months and just go on a spending spree :)

I think that's true..... but probably not in Scotland. :)

they just wait till their snowed in then lock the door to the room with the computer and try and get the friction to set their log on fire.


Actually up here they should still be in school when they have kids of their own!!! I've never seen a country with so many teenage parents.

True. But fortunately for porn webmasters, we're normally snowed in 6-7 months of the year |duff|

Why are you (an Aussie) living in Scotland?

snow is a great thing for us, unless it takes out power lines like it did a few years back across canada. They were some slow times

Urb, I'm actually a Kiwi that has been living in Australia far to long, that moved to Scotland chasing a woman that I met travelling around Australia.

But I'll be taking her back to Oz in the next 6-8 months. Just in time for Aussie winter. Oh Joy! A year of winter.
