CCBill question, how to find out what sponsor

Got a CCBill check today and as always only my affiliate number is on it. I normally just search my bookmarks ti figure out which sponsor I'm making says with but I can't find this one.
How can you find out what sponsor this is what all I know is my affiliate ID? On a side note I've been merging all my accounts into one as I've been receiving checks. |

If you can find a url that has that number in it, sometimes you can see what site it is by looking at the url. google is quite helpful with that at times. :)
Or, you can write to support@ccbill.com with a subject of: AFFILIATE ACCOUNT QUESTION and say: Can you merge 123456 with my existing account 234567 and tell me what sponsor 123456 is? Generally, 4-6 hours and you have your answer. |

Yeah I thought of mailing CCBill but then they usually want the user name too.
I also thought of using grep to search my server to see what the rest of the URL is but haven't figured out how to do that yet but I know there is a way and it is someplace in man grep for me to find out how. |

 grep -R 123456 *
	 |

if that doesn't work, (i.e. too many arguments error)
	find . -type f -print | awk '{ print "grep 123456 " $1 }' | sh |

Nothing on any of my servers, very strange.
I gave up and sent mail to CCBill. |

I've gotten a few of them in the past - there are a sponsor or 2 that use CCBill for payouts, but it doesn't look like it from their admin.

CCBill was actually very helpful, fast too. :)
As I requested they merged it into the account that I'm now merging everything into and let me know that it was Maximum Cash that resulted in the sale. Now I guess the only question is why am I getting paid through CCBill for them? What is really strange is that it shows up as I joined last year and MaxCash is like one of my oldest sponsors. It's been awhile since I've logged in, maybe I filled out something and forgot??? |

Maybe that was during that period where they were under investigation?

That explains it, it was done automagically. :D
