Since I know nothing about blogging, I am going to let Boogie take care of this. Welcome to the wonderful world of Blogs :)

Anyone reading this forum you need to realize. In my years as an adult webmaster I've seen lots of people 'miss out' on things they considered 'fads'.

I watched people start losing their ass when sites became surfer friendly.

I watched some folks lose their ass because they thought TGP's would dissapear.

Now that blogging is here and has been for almost 3 years its clearly not going away.

Its a brand new content delivery system delivering a new type of content to a new type of reader. You owe it to yourself to use this forum to the best of your abilities and learn as much as you can, and share what you know in exchange.

That's why i'm very excited to be involved in this forum :) Its a new oppurtunity for even the lowliest of us to start earning like the big dogs.

The Irony that Greenguy created the very first adult blog that I ever read (his daily news archive) isnt lost on me either. GG you've been doing it for years I hope you come in and share what you know as well ;)

Congrats.. I think this is going to be a great resource. I have to say that content management was the first reason I ever looked at a blog script and I'm glad I did as it made the move into actually writting alot easier. (so i'm backwards.. what can I say?)

Good move Jim, I have been wondering wtf a blog was compared to a live journal or something of that nature but had no where to go and ask.

I'll be reading over these post and see if I can make some sense of it all.

I'm also going to set ours up and see what happens, the only "topic" I can think of is my daily life and observations of the world.

Some of the most popular blogs have been exactly that. Sometimes these things spill out of nowhere. Blogs like the daily iraqi posting during the Iraq war, for example, can really top the charts.

You should remember to include a lot of photos too if its a personal blog. Moblogging is a great way to go (mobile phone picture blog).

But I'm gonna bet your life is pretty intresting for sure ;)

It is great to finally have a resource just on blogging.

I actually have blog scripts on a couple of my sites, it's a shame I can't figure out how I fucked up my server settings because it would be nice to use them now that someone is here to tell how to do it correctly. :(

Excellent! I've pretty much abandoned doing free sites in favor of Blogs and the income they bring in...

Good to see this new forum. Glad you mentioned it in the newsletter Jim or I wouldn't have seen it (I'm too used to just hanging around general business) :)

I'm thrilled to pieces about this forum. I have 4 blogs of my own and I'm doing quite well with them and I think this is going to be a wonderful resource to help others and learn a few tricks myself. ;)

I think this is a mistake for several reasons.

1) building and submitting a free site is just about an hour out of the day.
2) you can always use link outs from it to support your blogs with extra traffic (in place of a sponsors link out)
3) diversity is the key.

If tomorrow google drops blogs as 'old news' from the engines where would you be? keep diversifiying, its the spice of webmaster life :)

Hey Boogie, I have a PR4 blog that I'd be willing to trade links with Boogie's Blog if the links in your side bar were big enough to read. Would you consider changing the font size to make them readable?

That's odd, they are readable to me in both IE and Firefox (and my eyesight is pretty crap!)

They're readable to me too, and none of my link partners seem to have a problem with it. I dont really know anything about style.css so not sure how to change the font either! Its the standard kubrik layout and with as many folks that are using that layout I'm suprised that anyone sees a problem with it.
