question for link list owners
 

is it possible to make my own recip for your sites?

i saw on some sites that the recips are the same for every link list.

my example:
- title of the link list
- category where I submit

Yes, just do it intelligently. If they have the title attribute in their recip links, use it. Use the same wording they use too.

There are a couple who don't like their recip being toyed with, so take heed.

you can change colors, size etc. but the links themselves you can't

Most would prefer that you use the ones that they have online - if they wanted everyone to make up their own, no one would have wet thru the hard work of getting the recips made & uploaded to the site :)

Exactly. My rules are more strict than my actual "policy." Give me a decent looking recip that follows my guidelines and you're golden. Ignore my wishes completely and you're banned.

I know a lot of people think we're overly anal about our recips, but - right or wrong - there is method to our madness. Mostly. ;)

Yes you can, but use the text from my recip page. I don't care how it looks but I do care about the text.

I don't mind if people make their own. A bigger variety of text links just means a bigger variety of search engine hits.
